I trust all is well, or at least well enough to get by? Just a little concerned by the brevity of the message.

He decided to come in and toss about trash in a bunch of threads and now doesn't like the stink he created so is leaving. Good riddance.

Did anyone else notice Firebeetle returned today?

Yes, it seems strange to remember a personality who last spoke in the forums more than 18 months ago. But, this is the only online community in which I participate. :-B

Yeah, there's another example of this type of poster......

The posts erased or something? I don't see much worth talking about in his recent posts.

I see what you mean. Looks nore or less harmless on recent posts but comes across much more nasty when viewed in an actual thread.

It does seem like some of his worst attacks have been edited out. I can't seem to find the one where he mouths off at Erik Mona.

You know its really sad, I didn't like the youtube thing either but didn't feel it was worth the time to rail about and missed some of the other posts in the thread. To each his own I guess.

We haven't suppressed any of his posts recently. I think you're referring to this thread.

There's been an upsurge in mouthing-off lately...and I hate it when people intrude on my department!

OK this is completely NOT political correct...

but winning an internet argument is like winning the Special Olympics. At the end of the day you are still a retard.

And let me apologize to everyone in advance... lol but ifyou want to argue about it and hope to win... read the above statement again!

lol

oh by the way... yes on occasion I hitch a ride on the short bus too!

Hmm. I disagree. Winning an internet argument is like arguing in real life, only everyone just left. 'cause that's the only way you're gonna win one.

I disagree with that one! You stupid person! ;)

I agree with CJ's disagreement. There are lots more Nazis, fascists and people who hate America in an online argument.

Liberty's Edge

There's a video out there somewhere called "Red vs. Blue: the internet versus reality" that does an excellent job encapsulating the ills of internet "debating."

I'd try to find the link, but I'm posting from work and the filters limit my search ability. I'll try to find it when I get home, if someone doesn't ninja-post it first.

Sovereign Court

Oh man. So he left because he said hip-hop sucks and was pissed that other people came to defend it?

I LOVE the Internets!

I get my kicks out of Internet drama since I cancelled my cable.

Because of the anonymity of the internet, people think they can say what they would never say IRL, since they would get their faces bloodied.

I do not believe that was the only reason. Review his other posts and feel free to draw your own conclusions.

The phrase, "...can dish it out, but can't take it" comes to my mind.

Dark Archive

I agree with CF. He had a habit of coming in and disagreeing with anything anyone said, just to provoke an argument. Some of what he said was thought provoking, but most of it just served to warm the room.

All of you need to be careful in what you say. You might entice him in coming back. :)

QFT. There have been several times in the last few years that people on the net have said something that if said to my face, would have caused me to probably shake the s@+$ out of them if not outright start breaking them. People become really brave and uncaring about their fellow humans in a faceless forum. It's a real shame that some can't just give respect to fellow humans and act like a real person with feelings is on the other end of a comment.

Yeah, I think you're right, but I prefer more interpretation. It's more fun to picture!

Yeah, I used to play on a lot of MOMGs (Massive Online Multiplayer Games)and I was shocked at how many people would insult another just because the other was lower level, wasn't wielding very good stuff, or just for the heck of it. Not to mention the many people who would break the rules of the game and gold farm, thinking that they aren't real 'rules'.

Don't get me started.

The favorite in my collection, though it begins to lack credible meaning, is, 'Satan oscillate my metallic sonatas'.

True, it's not something you can pop into casual conversation (well, without talking about obscure satanic metal bands, I suppose). But using oscillate in a palindrome? Nice!

My fave is: Do nine men interpret? Nine men, I nod!

Some guy found my palindromic song on Paizo (searching to see if he was the only one who came up with Emu Love Volume)and then wrote on his myspace page that I must have lied about coming up with this in 40 minutes because nobody could. I wrote on his page, "Maybe I'm just much better at this than you are."

The entire song is a single palindrome with rhyming verses.

EMU LOVE VOLUME (c. Rone Barton 2002)

Ho!

Emu love volume!

Race laser if flow erupts
I'm raft I'm muse--ew!
Rent rape us
Awash, crane dragon sits
But rat is bonked
I trap a spine
Man, tinker on!

Emu love volume!

Sit in it now
I won't sulk cus
Stuck cab sleep
One man rusts
A last surname no!
Peels back cuts
Suck lust now
I won tinitis

Emu love volume!

No reknit name
Nips a part
I deknob sitar tubs
tis no garden arch
Saw a sue partner
Wee summit far
Mist pure wolf
Fire sale car

Emu love volume!

Oh!
