The rules specify how spell-like abilities work in regards to things like antimagic, counterspelling, and dispelling.
However, one major blind spot is if they can be identified. Sure, a spell-like ability isn't really a spell, and can't be countered as such, but can you identify it with a spellcraft check? If so, what is the DC?

I've always done it just like it was a spell being cast but with no verbal, somatic or material components. I've added a +2 to the DC of the check for each of those, so a total of +6 to the DC.
It doesn't always make complete sense...I mean, if the creature doesn't actually do anything how is a character supposed to know they are using a SLA? I've always played it as the creature doing something a little different...maybe stopping for a second, getting a slightly glazed look...just something that keys the character that they are doing something that might provoke the Spellcraft check.
