Double Slice Feat - revisited

Skills and Feats

I know that the Double Slice feat has been discussed before, but I just don't understand why the feat is set up the way it is. I know that we as players are supposed to use the feat description, not the chart description, but why is it that there is a Dex prerequisite for the feat, yet it uses your Str modifier as a bonus. As a two-weapon fighter, one is more inclined to be building one's Dex in progression than Str. Wouldn't it make more sense to get your Dex modifier?

As a note of preference, I prefer the chart description. I'd rather have a better chance to hit with the off-hand. Damage is great, but I look at it like a great base-stealer in baseball who can't hit. Sure you can do some damage on base, but you gotta get on base first.

at a guess, it's because of the type of combat manouver it represents
you essentially switch from rolling shoulders and swaying hips in an agile two-weapon style motion,
to that of a two-handed weapon style thrust or ripping motion requiring consolidated power
a committed closed body stance up close and personal,
rather than an open body stance to dodge easier jic
again I'm just guessing here, could actually just be a typo lol :D
