Scarab Sages

So the majority of the links to the newest post in a thread don't work. This seems to be an IE problem (of course). What gives?

Have you considered using Firefox? You can get it on Mozilla.com. I haven't had any of the problems that others talk about. Just a suggestion.

I believe this is symptomatic of a mismatch between two different systems we use to keep our various servers in sync with each other. I've restarted the offending service.

Can you kick it again? For me the 'X New' comes and goes. I get it working about every other day.

The problem Gary solved by restarting the service wasn't the "coming and going"—it was that those links were leading to posts that weren't actually available. I think you're describing a different issue.... and one I've seen myself as well. We'll try to get to the bottom of it.

By the way, I've noticed the (x new) tags in the threads, which let me know how many new entries have appeared after my most recent addition. It's an odd little feature, but it's a time-saver, and appreciated.

I had thought that myself but the problem is somewhere else. I think I've figured it out and it should be fixed soon. (For varying definitions of "fixed" and "soon"....)
