Not that I can find (sadly).

Dark Archive

Too bad, because the stats that were published in Dragon look awesome.

I used a reduced size/age Fire Drake (ToH) in my last Pf game. Wow, that was kicking the hinies of the two second levels that comprised the party.
It has pyrolastic (sp?) blood.

Pardon me, mack, but could you spare a couple of conversions for a fellow editioner who's down on his luck?

Liberty's Edge

I dunno... you've got a pretty shady look about ya there fella. Still; I can't have a poor soul like yourself wandering around without means of PC butchery... here ya go:
Foulspawn Grue

The hulk is being worked on presently.

I made the mistake of loaning my Tome of Horrors to a friend who was starting his own Pathfinder game and haven't seen it or him since.

Lovely. I have something to use in my game tomorrow.

You better nab the pdf in case it never comes home. :(

Last time I looked, the revised pdf was on a decent sale over at DriveThru.

I'll look into that. I wish they still had a Fiend Folio pdf there. I lent that as well and am in need of the Steel Predator for my game tomorrow.

Surely there's a good replacement for a steel predator.

If you havethe mini for a steel predator, you should be able to get by with the stat card.

Greetings and whatnot!

Just wanted to pop in the door to say hello!

Don't go!!!!!

Dark Archive

Sup!

Sovereign Court

Okay, I'll stay a while.

...Just ordered some gaming paper... just for the heck of it. And I grabbed the PAIZO boat map pack, and two other flip mats. I'm into boats now in-game.

Also ordered a few other PAIZO goodies.

I'm interested in some Stormreach v.3.5 mini or stats.... Just now getting into that setting. Skipped it at first, but has a nice modern charm to it. For example, I'd like to see some Zombie Pirate stats. LOL

Hope your days have been good. Talk to you soon.

If you find Eberron interesting, I can heartily recommend picking up the campaign setting; you'll find all kinds of incredibly interesting information within. Along with some nifty critters.

I'm not stating up Captain Tew or Ratty, either. ;)

I should have the Foulspawn Hulk posted sometime tomorrow. All I've really got left on it is various flavor-related information and a quick double check to make sure its stats are done properly.

Added. Looking to be around CR 15 or so.

Liberty's Edge

Alrighty folks, here's a link to the foulspawn hulk:
Foulspawn Grue

I can imagine they'll be quite nasty. Something better fought at range than in melee combat. Though they're fast and a charge should be able to get them into melee range most of the time (barring terrain and whatnot, of course).

Up next is the foulspawn seer (which will also include an update to the Creature Conversion Compendium). The current 'to-do' list looks like the following:
Iron Dragon (CR Variable - Legendary Evils Mini)
- Still working on this one off-and-on.
Foulspawn Seer (CR 9 - Legendary Evils mini)
Elder Green Dragon (CR 13 - Legendary Evils Mini)
Rockfire Dreadnought (CR 15 - Savage Encounters)

Have I missed any suggestions?

Yes he has. :)

Savage Encounters distribution is much worse than Legendary Evils and Dangerous Delves. Much worse. I've collected all the visibles and I have much less of all the minis from that set than from the other two.

Pee-yoo, Wotc.

Liberty's Edge

It wouldn't be the first time their miniature distribution was in the crapper. It used to be pretty many sets ago (around Desert of Desolation) but then they fixed and it was really nice. They spoiled us, it would seem. :p

As much as I'm saddened by my lack of minis, it is a huge relief to not have to chase minis anymore.

Sovereign Court

Pee-yew to the wotci in general. But I digress...

Thanks Gene for all the stats. Keep em coming. Mayhaps I was unclear in my request...

What I am curious about is whether the 4e minis line had anything targeted to Stormreach or other Eberron elements.

For example, there was a Kalashtar gal - nice one. Just wondered if I had missed any LARGE iron defenders, or whether you might draw flavor from DDO's zombie pirates when transcribing a 4e zombie... perhaps adding a Cap'n Gene Bluebeard twist?

Just sayin...

Sorry for being wierd. I thought that was the norm? lol

I have the campaign setting, and some other books, but nobody does it like Gene - - - and again, with relation to actually available minis. But no worries. I like all your stuff.

I'll post again next week.
Take care,
P.s.

P.s. Andy Collins got the boot or left the wotci. I know he's been friends with Erik over the years, so I will simply wish him well in future endeavors. I'll never forget that You Tube video from GenCon... man did he look stressed then - perhaps the writing was on the wall right from 4e's announcement. Anyhow, just wondered if you had heard if it was a "quit" or directional move to something else? I know he'd been interested in D&D on the computer, but not sure if he headed to Warner Brothers? just wondering?

Pax, there's a thread about the lay-offs, but you might do well to note that there's a few brothers in there looking for a fight.

Ah, okay. Eberron-wise there really haven't been all that many miniatures. There have been medium-sized iron defenders, but nothing large (sadly). I'm sure there are suitable proxies floating around the net, though.

The DDO pirate zombies are pretty straight forward. Just take the zombie template, get rid of the loss of sentience, remove the 'standard actions only' clause and you're pretty much done. Tack on some class levels and you're good. I can imagine some zombie swashbucklers backed by zombie spellcasters being an interesting twist on a fight; especially when compared to normal zombies. The whole zombie twist is one of the reasons I liked using Juju zombies so much in 2nd edition.

---

The whole WotC business is a shame. I'm surprised that they dropped Andy Collins and Jesse Decker, I'm pretty sure that they'd both been with the company for a long time.

The only thing that is silly is how rarely I see you two guys these days... especially Pax.

Gene, did you ever give any thought to the Hoard Scarab Larva Swarm?

Liberty's Edge

Mairkurion {tm} wrote:

Actually I have. I'm pretty sure I've got a near-finished stat block for the suckers floating around on my PC somewhere, I'll dig it up and finish it and post it.

Also got to finish the foulspawn seer that I've been working on for like... two months.

Time flies when I'm not doing what I'm supposed to be doing. :p

Liberty's Edge

And here we have it folks, the hoard scarab larva swarm:
Hoard Scarab Larva Swarm

Also, I've updated the Creature Conversion Compendium. We're now sitting at version 9 with 50 different critters with which to butcher PCs:
Creature Conversion Compendium

I should also, gods willing, have that damned foulspawn seer posted within the next day or so. Got to finish up a little stat-wise and then write up flavor text and whatnot.

Thank you, Gene!

Glad to see you're getting some use out of the critters I've been posting. It's always nice to hear that other folks are tormenting PCs with my monsters. :D

Another update brings us yet more of the foulspawn brood, today it's the Foulspawn Seer:
Foulspawn Seer

There's one more foulspawn I want to get finished before I move onto other things (that would be the foulspawn mangler who I expect to clock in at CR 6 or so).

There will be a bit of a gap (probably about a week) before my next update; I've got some site-related stuff I need to do that's going to take a while and I've got plans this whole weekend and early next week that will keep me away from the computer for the majority of the time.

As of now, the 'critters to be done' list looks like so:
Iron Dragon (CR Variable - Legendary Evils Mini)
- Elder mini
Foulspawn Mangler (CR 6 - Legendary Evils mini)
Elder Green Dragon (CR 13 - Legendary Evils Mini)
- Huge-sized; adult (just add additional abilities and whatnot)
Rockfire Dreadnought (CR 15 - Savage Encounters)

The Iron Dragon is probably the lowest on my priorities because writing up dragons takes forever to do, what with needing stats for each age category and whatnot. I've also got amethyst dragons on the back burner (been working on them for probably six months...) and they'll be making a debut in the indeterminate future.

RETURN

Hi all, its been sometime since I checked in, but I've been using Gene's stats at tabletop, and continue to do so....

I still have enthusiasm for keeping v.3.5 alive, and the OGL. Let me know what other great stats we have on the horizon!

Talk to you soon.

Pax

Here it is October...nothing new.

Sniff, sniff.

Amazing how quick those months go by, but I digress; here's a copy/paste of my most recent update (October 2nd) on my site:
Howdy folks, it's been awhile (*cough* two months *cough cough*). Sorry 'bout that, but, to be honest, I've been suffering from some pretty serious D&D burnout lately and I've just not been able to kick it. Rest assured, updates WILL eventually continue; I'm just not sure when. I do plan on having something posted for Halloween, though.

---

So, in essence: All work and no play make Gene a dull boy.

Been doing lots of D&D-related design lately but next to no play, kinda burns me out, to be honest. But! I do have a Pathfinder game tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it giving me the kick in the butt that I need to get back to working on PC-mutilating critters.

I assure you guys that I've not forgotten about you; I've just been up to some other (programming-related) things that will eventually surface on my site for public consumption.

Stat-block-wise I intend to have at LEAST two updates up for Halloween, though these are going to be 2nd edition to 3.5 conversions as opposed to 4th edition to 3.5. They will likely both be posted on the 31st (or near it) as well. In regards to the 4E > 3.5 conversions, they're on the back burner but I'm getting ready to start cooking again (likely this next week) and with the new mini set out (yaaaay!) I'm sure there will be more things added to the ever dwindling list.

OOOOOH! Ravenloft!

Can't wait to see the new stuff.
