I mentioned in the Specialist changes thread that giving specialist wizards special access to certain spells like clerics of certain domains do would give specialization more flavor and further distinguish it from universalist casting.
This can easily be done by adding the specialist class name + spell level next to the other mentioned classes/spell levels on spells. As for the description of schools, just add that specialists can use spells that have their class name included in addition to the spells that a wizard can normally cast.
This thread is for suggestions on what spells to add to specialist spell lists or possibly change from any wizard to specialist-only spells.
I'd like to start with the necromancer.
I believe that since the necromancer's magical specialty deals with death, undeath, life force and the soul, that the cure and inflict spells should be added to necromancer spell lists (ex. cure light wounds, heal, inflict light wounds).

I'd be thrilled if the Specialist Necromancer got some hit point curing magic even if just as part of his Specialist abilities.
But yeah, making a list of spells to add to the spell list for Specialists (or adjusting the levels of a spell here and there, for Specialists only) would be a neat thing to see.
For instance, it would be neat to see spells like Barkskin and Mage Armor added to the Abjuration spell list, for specialist Abjurers only. Even adding 1 spell per level of spells could be an interesting choice (making the Specialist work somewhat like the 3.0 Domain Cleric, gaining access to nine additional spells, only, in this case, added to his Spells Known list so that he can prepare them as he wishes).
Even if such a thing wasn't included as a class ability for Specialists, it might make for a decent Feat option for Specialists.
A Specialist Necromancer could then blow a Feat to add some Cure / Inflict spells to his spell list, and they would count as Arcane Necromancy spells when cast by him.

Ugh. Honestly do wizards need this? I agree some of it might be neat, but I'm missing the glaring reason as to why the wizard needs more than he has already.
It's not like they'd be getting extra spells per day with this. Besides, if the necromancer can heal and the abjurer can cast more varied protection, it eases the burden on the role of the cleric in at least some cases.
This is also about creating a stronger definition of what a specialist wizard is in comparison to a standard wizard.
P.S. Technically a specialist in transmutation should be able to do some regeneration spells as well, since one can mold flesh and knit bone with body-changing spells.

I agree that adding a few signature spells to specialist's lists could be a nice touch, I would say that taking it to the level where a necromancer has access to all the cure spells is going too far. It steps on the clerics toes and bypasses the traditional arcane/divide that is such a large part of magical tradition in D&D.
At the very least, if they are going to get the cure spells, each such spell should be a higher level necromancer spell than it is a cleric spell.
