A listing of his works.
Gawk!
Whoa. Uh. Hi! Yay!
And that list is like 4 months out of date, so rest assured there's more coming!
By the by. Best. Thread Name. Ever!

Wes, inquiring minds want to know: what are your domains, and do you accept Paladins?
I was going to say Darkness and Madness, but I'm scared of the former and James as the latter covered, so, um, Law, Luck, Rune, Trickery... Weather? Charm? Self Preservation?
And nah, no paladins. Hellknights on the other hand...

And could someone else be a paladin of Frost if they wanted too?
Wrong Paizoan,
This thread is dedicated to the gawdhood of F. Wesley Schneider. You can be a Paladin of F I think his domains are Knowledge, Rune, All domains that start with the letter F, and the special Gamers domain.

Ah Wes...
If only they knew that you're closer to the other end of the scale. :-P
They should really be asking...
- What outer plane are you from?
- Do you take extra damage from cold iron?
- What is your favorite minion?
- What is your favorite curse?
- What is your favorite plague?
- How many human souls do you consume a day?
Those sort of questions.
Come to think of it, I imagine your favorite curse is the one where you make everyone look like an anime character.
All hail F. Wesley Schneider, the Dark Lord!
(Not to be confused with the Dark Schneider character out there. He goes by a nickname that means his father never married his mother).
Cheers

Having looked at that (damn impressive) list, I has a question for you Wes. At what point during that list did you have a (non-RPG related) day job versus living off of your writing full-time? Just wondering, since I know what my writing speed was like as a jobless undergrad versus a lab slave in gradschool, versus an overworked scientist now; curious how you handled that blizzard of writing balanced against what sort of job you had at the time.

Hey Todd! I got my job with Paizo in 2004 while I was less then halfway through writing part of the World's Largest Dungeon. Moving 3,000 miles in one weekend meant I had to bail pretty disgracefully on that, and was the first (and hopefully last) time the threat of legal action has ever been leveled at me during a freelance job. So that kind of sucked, but cest la vie. As you can see, after November 2004 things get pretty Paizo-centric... which was kind of the point since the beginning. My majors and freelance all were pretty much aimed at netting me a job on Dragon, which had kind of been my dream since like 10th grade.
As for jobs, I worked at a Wizards of the Coast retail store in Columbia, Maryland for most of my college career and then another store in Glen Burnie, Maryland called Games and Comics and Stuff, where artist Beth Trott was my boss (she did a lot of L5R card art and works on WotCs kids books a lot now). I mostly worked by day, freelanced by night, read a lot, ran several 3E games... good (but very poor) times.
But yeah, I write a lot more now mostly cause I try to work it into my morning routine. Wake up, workout, write for an hour and eat breakfast, go to work, yada yada, come home and pass out. I wish I could say everyone morning goes like that, but that's how it looks on paper and I'm amazed how much I get done in the weeks I work in the morning as opposed to trying to do so at night or over a weekend.
And now its super late and I'm probably rambling, so I'm going to bed... if I can sleep with my ears burning from all this undeserved attention. :P

Your assassin's guild really needs to spend more money on their research division.

What's the research? Your target is FWS, a gawd. Seduce him (he's a geek, that should be easy enough :); put the poi...er...potion in his drink afterwards (heard he likes warm milk); and leave.
Argh! Maybe I should have set my sights lower! Maybe Jason...?

Do you not actually write AT work? What do you guys do all day?

Actually it tends to depend. As editors most of our jobs tend to involve a lot of writing, but that's mostly adding and revising things we get from freelancers to make things work more smoothly, bringing things in line with house styles or plots we're not ready to reveal yet, getting things up to the word counts we need, or providing feedback (though I wish we had time to do a lot more of that). There's also always art orders to generate, blog posts to write, ad and preview copy to tinker with, and a hundred other things. So writing at work? Yes, all day-o-day, but writing things that any of us would get front or back cover credit for, that happens in our "free time," er... "off the clock"... um, before 10 or after 7.
And sacrifices. Lots of them. Virgin and nubile, of course. :)
You've been talking to Sutter, haven't you?
Wes = Awesome. Wes + Disease = Awesome. Wes + Livejournal = Enlightening
Wes + Monsters = ........Wow.
Wow, thanks all! So glad everyone's liking the Bestiary and all. Super flattering! Totally reminds me that I need to get my s$#@ together and get back to my livejournaling. Though the "Wes + Disease" comment is a little unnerving... :P

Yup. He even sent me the Youtube footage of your ad: "I am a Gawd. All measurements are above human norm, plus 12 inches. Seeks sacrifices, preferable young and nubile" :)

I remember way back when when Wes took second place to me (somehow!) in Mystic Eye's Foul Locales contest. It's been good to see you grow as a writer into the Paizo professional you are today. Cheers and continued success!

after looking over bio. Wow. I think I have at least half your published stuff, Bret.
