Paladin: Divine Bond

Classes: Cleric, Druid, and Paladin

Sovereign Court

This is a minor issue, especially since it's based on flavor and can be reflavored easily enough, but please change the divine bond wording so that instead of the paladin doesn't have to have a chosen god to take divine bond. In 3.5 Paladins could just be holy warrior of virtue that had no religious affiliation. By the wording of divine bond that is no longer possible. Take away the specification that the weapon has to be your dieties favored weapon.

In my game, my paladin is probably going to go with weapon divine bond. However my character isn't particularly religious, he prays to whatever god is appropriate to the situation like a greek person would in the good old panthiestic days. And wields his mothers pick which was taken from a dwarf, am I supposed to pick a god that has pick as favored weapon all of a sudden? Also his powers are from his devotion to virtue and the chivalric code. By the description of divine bond that doesn't work when it would have in 3.5

So please reword the ability and take away the stipulation of only your gods favored weapon.

Sovereign Court

Oh wow, I thought this got eaten but it mysteriously reappered.
