Some of you may be aware of my situation. Some of you may not, or may not even care. But I really just need to vent...
Yup, it's that time again. It's been four years since I got sick, or in this case since I got "Collywobbles".
For those of you not familiar with the term:
col·ly·wob·bles [kol-ee-wob-uhlz]
-noun(used with a singular or plural verb) Informal.
1. intestinal cramps or other intestianal disturbaces.
2. a feeling of fear, apprehension, or nervousness.
*Wow, I rarely get to use actual Dictionary references.
I've spent the last four years now with "Colly". I've been to doctors, and the best I've gotten out of them so far is..."Oh, it may be a tumor. But we can't be sure without a CT scan."
That wouldn't be hard except that the scan cost 10k. A little out of my price range. So here I sit still jobless, and in pain.
Have I mentioned how much fun it is having to live with your parents? Ot who fun it is to have to ask your parents for money, because you haven't been able to work?
Hopefully this all ends soon. I don't think I could make a fifth year. We're looking at trying to get me on Blue Cross/Shield, but even if that works I may have to wait 6-9 months due to a pre-existing condition. And of course there's the money issue, $80-$90 a month. Money that I don't have, and money that my parents really don't have either
But anyways, I'm off. Jus needed to vent on this momentous occasion.
**On the plus side I caught up on all my books/manga.
***Is it strange that I/we named my illness?

Ugh, for right now I'm stuck guessing. Now one here wants to do any medical test, since I have no money or insurance. And they pretty much said no to any other tests until I pony up for the CT Scan.
So for now I just hope it's nothing life threating. But after fours years if "Colly" was going to kill me I'd already be dead. Hopefully I can get this insurance going soon.

Something totally harmless to try that could be helpful is Probiotics. I got a colon infection a couple months back and since then I have eaten more fiber, cut out nuts and seeds and taken 'Primal Defense' probiotics. I feel good and am now quite regular. The stuff is fairly pricey but it has a bunch of other benefits on top of tuning up your digestive tract. It will help you to absorb more good stuff from your food and help filter out the bad stuff. One or two pills a day, all natural, what do you have to lose?
Hope it helps.

I truly hope you get better. The pain is one thing but not being able to work hits us guys really hard because so much of our selves are wrapped up in our jobs, being laid off or fired causes more sever deppresion in males than in females.
My only suggestion would be to try and see if any churches would be willing to help. Talk to the pastors, explain that your trying to be able to work and that you just need this one lousy test. Even if your not a member of their church thye may still help you.
