When the core rule book is all set a year or so from now, I would like to see Pathfinder come out with a book of optional rules that mentions all the great ideas that are being discussed in the design forums. There are a variety of good ideas for each subset of rules, that I'm sure it si difficult to have to pick one to the exclusion of others. Something similar to WOTC's Unearthed Arcana would be nice.

I like both ideas. A few pages at the back of the core book (or a few sidebars in relevant places) saying "if you have a problem with this, try this instead" for the most disagreed-upon topics would be a nice add-on. But I also think that there's enough material on these boards alone for a whole new Unearthed Arcana, so if the interest was there an in-depth book detailing multiple variants along with pros and cons of each would be great too.

I think that this is not on the best interest of a Company...
I don't know about the US, but with the people who buy imported books here, there weren't many that bought UA. Publishing a book takes much money of a company, and a book like this is mostly the one who will be donwloaded via emule or rapidshare, even for people who buy books, because, plainly...it's only for the collection.
I think that, however, the community could make a net-book like this. Vote fot the ideas and include it as a fee download one. This, my friends, would be great!

It seems to me that based on Paizo's statements about web-enhancements (too much work, not feasible) that an appendix or UA type book might not be up their alley.
On the other hand, I think a series of KQ articles, or a community created pdf / compilation of the rules ideas, or a were-cabbage Pathfinder Rule Gems book would be sweet.

It gets used in mine a bit, that and the PHB II.
I think the PHB II is one of the most useful non-core books I've come across.

Agreed. My next game will be limited to those 2 extra besides the core.

PHBII gives some love to warriors, especially at high levels. Whether or not it is enough, it is still an attempt that is better than nothing. I'm not a huge fan of some of the core classes presented within, such as the Knight or Dragon Shaman, but overall the book is worth it.
UA just has so many options. For example, in my homebrew I wanted an Age of Piracy feel, so I used the chart of exotic material components to create a trade network, while also adding some of my own. Now my players harvest parts from every wierd creature they defeat!

Let's help them write it. Let's begin a homebrew thread(yes, yes, i know it has been done before). We can evaluate others ideas, and when enough ideas have been listed, Paizo can put it into book form. Who here can say they never used a houserule, so let us all contribute. After all, they own the rights to anything posted here anyway. Thoughts?
I'd buy it in hardback, or even softback, if offered.

I'd be all for that, but we should consider that the rules are not finalized yet. Any efforts in such house-rules might be wasted, but on the other hand they might see inclusion into the game. I'm making a thread now!
Once you begin the new thread, be sure to give us the link. Thanks, Jal Dorak.
