What's acceptable here is quite different from most places on the internet. Yes, I know the site you're talking about, but what they do over there is a) their business, and b) normative behavior for that site.
What anyone does here is of course a different matter.

Jal, Gary just closed that thread for good reason. I understand if you're frustrated, annoyed, etc. One might argue you have cause. Let it go. We're all supposedly adults here. That doesn't bequeath wisdom, as many can attest. I stayed out of the train-wreck (to borrow from Gary) but didn't care for how things went either. I'd really prefer if we just behaved ourselves naturally. That's vague, to be fair, but I think Gary's already summed up what that entails quite well. Moving on is our best plan.
But being honest, I think your pledge is spot-on.
Enough with the mediating/peace-making, now I want to go smack a smrf. Or at least a kobold.
