Check the chart on page 13 of your Pathfinder beta document. You get feats at 1st, 3rd, 5th, and every two levels thereafter (7th, 9th, et cetera) whereas in 3.5 you get feats at 1st, 3rd, 6th, and every three levels thereafter (6th, 9th, 12th, et cetera).
Overall you end up with a total of ten feats in Pathfinder compared to the seven you get in 3.5. This is, of course, over a twenty level period.

I occasionally see people on these boards mention that characters get more feats in Pathfinder RPG, yet I don't see that in the rules. Do characters get feats at a faster progression than in 3.5?
Am I missing something?
Thanks!!!!
Yes, they do. Check out table 4-1: Character Advancement and Level-Dependent Bonuses on page 13 of the Beta.
In Pathfinder, characters get a feat at every odd level (for ten total) while in 3.5 they get a feat at 1st and then every level divisible by 3 for a total of 7.

I was also confused about this, in the transition from 3.5 to alpha we changed our character to add the extra feats but in the beta document I couldnt find it anywere in hte feats chapter, also combat feats reamain in the beta document but the mecanics are not mentionet, where they changed from the alpha version?

Yes they were. Combat feats are just a fancy way of saying Fighter fight now, pg 76.

Not really. It's a catch all term for when certain classes get bonus feats (the Rogue gets a few 'Combat' feats as well). Since more than just the Fighter can get Combat feats on occasion, it warranted a name change.
Im not agaist the change of name but is confusing to change the name AND the mechanics in Alpha and when Beta comes out change the mechanics back and leave the name. I know not everyone is since Alpha but for those of us who are, a pdf with the changes from Alpha to Beta would be nice, in fact a pdf with the changes from 3.5 to Beta would be great.
