You know, while I think this version is cool, I'm glad to have the visual reference, I've always pictured Asmodeus and being thinner and more robed than the version here, but then again, my primary frame of reference is the version Dan Smith did for In Nomine. If you take away all the black horns and draping scrolls, the Phistophilus illustration is much closer to my mental image of Asmodeus, or at least, it was until I saw the art sample.

Depends on how old-school D&D you want to go. :)
