When did I become addicted?

Off-Topic Discussions

Just glanced at my posting tally, and somewhere in the past few days I passed the 3K mark (for total posts)

O.o

You folks are addictive. There should be a Surgeon's General Warning on the Pathfinder Beta rules.

I'm with you, sometime recently I just passed 1,500. You'd think I would get eye strain or something...

Liberty's Edge

i'm pushing 500, and i've only really been active since may...

yeah, the warning label would be a good idea...

Over 4,500: I'm a total junkie. I'm wondering when they send the decoder ring and golf shirt.

Sovereign Court

I'm still in the denial stage.

Scarab Sages

Just over 1,800. As long as I stay away from the 4e threads, I don't seem to post as much. (And the civil religious discussion.)

It's the Playtest-by-post that I run and play in that are addicting me.

Liberty's Edge

Hmmm...3057 posts.

If you only took an average of one minute per post, well...

...that's over two full days of your life you'll never get back.

Two full days, man.

Well, I'll never get the four years I spent drinking my college away at UMASS/Amherst back either, but I had a lot of fun.

All in all this is a much less liver-stressing hobby

You did that too? Man, did I have a lot of fun at (or near) college. Three years only...with about 60 credit hours completed. But, I was pretty good at chandeliers and could mix a whiskey sour that rocked!

As for the second quote you got there...try going to GenCon.

8-22-08 I have 2856 posts. w00t!

Addicted? I can quit anytime. Anytime I tell you!

You do that stuff to escape reality, huh?
I don't need to escape reality.
I AM reality.

Hey guys a serious question: what kind of a job do you have to have the time to post so much? I envy you...

Also and off-topic question for pro's in the posts like yourselves: what the heck is a PF CHARTER subscriber/spuerscriber?

Hope to read you when you hit 10,000 posts!

Werewoof you have so many posts the sheer volume of words alone if printed would cause the death of a small forest.

Charter is from signing up early on the subscriptions, (I think.) and Superscriber means we subscribe to pretty much everything.

I am in a perfect storm for Internet forum posting.

1. I get home at 5pm regularly from work. I also get up very early because I used to be in the Army, so I post before work.
2. I have a multi-handicapped daughter, so I am unable to leave the premises when nursing isn't here.
3. My wife works long night hours.
4. I have the weekends off, but my wife doesn't.
5. I am just a naturally chatty verbose nerd.

A charter subscriber is someone who preordered Pathfinder when it came out initially (usually by using up their Dragon/Dungeon subscription money excess like I did.) A superscriber has all the Pathfinder subscriptions available.

Thanks guy. And make that 50,000 posts...damn you write a lot!

Comparing it to my old hobby of grinding out levels in WoW/EQ, this is easy ;)

Teacher. Helps to have summers off.

How do you manage that? In seven years of teaching high school, I had a total of one (1) summer off. (The trick was to try and latch onto paid work, rather than getting stuck with unpaid work.)
