Hey there again friends,
I'm real sleepy right now, and I'll post a full list of things later in the morning, but I would like to know if you think its possible at all how you would (if you had unlimited money and Items) make a near by Mountain tip over on a City. The only thing you dont have is a druid. I ask because my party doesn't think it can be done, but I say the people at Paizo can do anything...
So tell me how you would do it,
Thanks!

Drat, Digitalelf was quicker than I to refer to to Proctiv's epic spell. Of course, with your imagination, anything can be done.
In my previous campaign (2006-2008), one part was spent in The Vast, as the PCs trudged through the Flooded Forest on the trail of spell components that had been gathered by the evil villain to raise a dark temple, dedicated to a triad of dark gods, for the sole purpose of obtaining information about Proctiv's spell.
Due to the power of Proctiv's secret and forgotten lore, raising the temple was no easy task! 100 gallons of "Agony" were required, see ideas in BoVD, and that made for a particularly gruesome earlier part of the campaign, as the PCs came across church after church that had been overcome by wild cultists of the Black Triad.
Anyhow, I'll have to reread my notes, your inquiry reminded me that I had planned a sequel to that campaign that involved the sheering of mountain tops!! Good luck with your own game.

Here is my scenario:
A beholder is angry at the noise and commotion a city brings upon its den, and especially those pesky adventurers a city attracts. So, with some expertise in engineering and mining, it grudingly mines out under a mountain using its disintegration ray over the course of a year, and then finally sets loose a collection of destrachans that run amok in the tunnels, bringing down crucial support columns and creating increasingly devastating earthquakes.
Perhaps they can be stopped if action is taken quickly, but if not the nearby mountain will bury the city and its people.

have a look below...
Wow, I was not expecting that... :-)
It's going to take me a little while to read your post (I pasted it onto MS Word for later perusal), but what initially piqued my interest was the whole "trudging around the flooded forest" and the idea of an evil triad...
Do you have this stuff written out (aside from the skeleton outline you provided)?

Okay, so you want to make a mountain fall on a town, huh? Here's what you do. You may not have a druid, but you do have a wizard, right? Use stone shape to make tunnels throughout the mountain. Be careful not to put too many in, though, because you want the mountain to collapse on the town, not you. Now, and here's the important part, put Explosive Runes throughout the tunnels. Put more facing the direction of the town, you want most of this mountain to end up on the town. Now just spread rumors in the town that there is some great treasure in the depths of your new 'dungeon'. Next, for Boccob's sake, GET OUT OF TOWN! You don't want to be there when your plan comes together, savvy? Trust me, within a week a fighter, a rogue, a cleric, and a wizard will venture down your tunnel system, thinking they are setting off on the trail to becoming legendary heroes when BOOM! Your explosive rune triggers, which triggers the runes next to it, which triggers the runes next to them, etcetera, etcetera, and next thing you know, the town's buried under several tons of rock. If explosive runes don't work like I think they do, just fill the tunnels with Necklaces of Fireballs too. those will blow up. If you think you put too many in, don't worry, the mountain will still fall on the town; it will just fall on a lot of other places too.

DigitalElf - I've got some good stuff written up and documented, maps, holy text, come canonical FR details, but a lot is interwoven with the story I was telling... what exactly would you like..., and how would you like me to get it to you?
I thought we had derailed this thread enough, so I created this one: Attention: Pax Veritas
Oh well, guess you missed it...
