Should be 26 ranks +4 for background class skill house rule (18 for ranger levels + 4 for barbarian + 4 for Intelligence). Still have 4 to spend. You left out some bonuses for some skills too.
Looks like you shorted yourself one attribute point as well. Total of 19 points used so far.
Strength 14 (2 points)+2 for half orc
Dexterity 16 (7 points)+1 at 4th level
Constitution 14 (5 points)
Intelligence 12 (5 points) -2 for half orc
Wisdom 14 (2 points) +2 for half orc
Charisma 8 (-2 points)
Someone please double check this as I was in a bit of a hurry.

Thank you, Dark Arioch! There's always a better way than I thought..

In the rules it says for a human you pick your favored class at first level, but does it have to be the first class you actually take?
I believe it can be any class you want it to be. You just only get the bonus when you take a level in the chosen class. First level or at any other point. Just can't change it after first level. That's how I read it anyway.

"Favored Class: Humans can choose any one class as their favored class at 1st level. Once made, this choice cannot be changed."
-- It doesn't say but I think the implication is there. Is there any reason your character couldn't have taken a level in sorceror then a level in rogue before two more levels in sorceror? That kind of fits his backstory anyhow.

Heh, my knee jerk reaction is, "SACRALEDGE!!! Everyone knows rogues get more skill points at first level!" Oh wait, they don't anymore. Old habits die hard......lol

Yeah, the problem with that though is the max 8 hits for the 1st character level of rogue, and the archery feats. As far as background, I figured he got the level of rogue in his teenage years studying with his father, who maybe had a level of rogue as well as a couple of ranger. Then he got the levels of sorcerer when he went to dragon magic school in Absalom.
Either way I think it works about the same as far as hit points go:
Favored class Rogue: 8 + 4 + 4 + random 1d6 + 1 favored class + 4 Con bonus = 21 + random 1d6
Favored class Sorcerer 6 + 4 + 4 + random 1d8 + 3 favored class + 4 Con bonus = 21 + random 1d8

As the rules are imprecise, let's err on the side of the player and do it the way that most benefits you.

Hi all ... for magic items, I want to give you some choice but I'm not a big fan of Magic-Items-R-Us Emporiums so choice is also somewhat restricted. To reflect the way your character may have picked up loot here and there and chosen from a limited selection, I'm offering some choices.
Here's the deal:
Choose 1 item from List A and 1 item from List B
OR
Choose 1 item from List C and 2 items from List D
LIST A
- +1 to armor
- +1 to shield
LIST B
- +1 to weapon
- Horn of Fog
- A set of Quaal's Feather Tokens (anchor, bird, fan, swan boat, tree, whip)
- Amulet of Natural Armour +1
- Ring of Protection +1
LIST C
- Cloak of Elvenkind
- Boots of Elvenkind
- Ring of Climbing
- Ring of Swimming
LIST D
- Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds
- Potion of Delay Poison
- Potion of Bear's Endurance
- Potion of Cat's Grace
- Potion of Fox's Cunning
- Potion of Owl's Wisdom
- Potion of Spider Climb

Ok, I am now making my rolls in Invisible Castle. How do I make it so you can see them or what info do you need? Haven't used it in a PBP before.
The best way is to cut and paste the code called "BBCode". I did just now and it looks like this: example (1d20+2=21)
Click on it and you will see what I see.
As long as we are on the subject of invisible castle ... I sometimes check the rolls from invisible castle. I've noticed a few times in other games where players have rolled multiple rolls before achieving that timely critical but I put it down to computer glitches. Just be aware that the big bad guy might have a glitch working similarly in his favour later on. ;-)

Ok, my first invisible castle roll was put in my post. Well I rolled a few times earlier just to recall how it worked (still unsure about multiple rolls at the same time), so no big bad guy crits! Let me know if it works right please. Oh, and do I have to link the rolls to the character or is that automatic with thier name entry?

Hehehe... no worries yet about multiple rolls. We're just starting out. Type in the character name and it will be linked to all other rolls by that character, I think.

I'll take a ring of swimming and two potions of cure moderate wounds. Do I pay for them or are they loot from the pirate ship?
These are magic items gained during your travels. They can be explained by a background or just be stuck in with your gear. Enjoy.
BTW, you can still edit your post in the game thread so your character appears not your other avatar.

Have another question. Do spellcasters have to cast defensively anymore? Was looking through the new rules and can't seem to find it. Spellcraft is the new concentration but nothing under there about it. If not, does spellcasting still incur an attack of opportunity?
from page 63
Spellcraft DCsTask Spellcraft DC
Identify a spell as it is being cast 15 + spell level
Learn a spell from a spellbook or scroll 10 + spell level
Prepare a spell from a borrowed spellbook 15 + spell level
Cast a spell if you are damaged while casting 10 + damage dealt + spell level
Cast a spell if you are taking continuous damage 10 + half the damage dealt + spell level
Cast a spell if you are distracted by a nondamaging spell Distracting spell’s DC + spell level
Cast a spell while on a moving mount or vehicle 10 + spell level
Cast a spell while on a vigorously moving mount or vehicle 15 + spell level
Cast a spell while moving violently (earthquake, falling) 20 + spell level
Cast a spell while entangled 15 + spell level
Cast a spell while grappled 15 + spell level
Cast a spell during extreme weather 10 + spell level

Tarren. are you going to track xp behind the scenes or will there be a running tally we will be keeping track of too? Not even completely sure how the new system works yet.
I will give you an occassional tally. The CR 6 encounter was worth 600 xp. P. 122 has some info on the new system.

If Fel's gone, I think we should just stick with the group we have. The game runs smoother when the numbers are 4-5, and we seem to have a pretty good dynamic so far. However, you're the dm, so do what you want.
If Fel the half-orc isn't going to show up, shall I invite Nameless to design a character. He was on the waiting list.
Six players is a lot for a play-by-post but players often drop out as the games take a while.
So, what do you say? Room for one more?

Ok, cool. I will now ignore those pesky lil xps until you say we need to.
I read through some of the threads around Alpha and they seem to indicate that casting defensively was just accidently left out. So it works like it used to. Yeah, the stuff you bolded pertains to taking actual damage or having a non-damaging spell cast on you but not just plain old casting defensively.
I'm good with the group we have unless you feel we are gonna get our butts handed to us and need more support. If you do decide to add another might I suggest that they be a frequent poster. This game seems to be really trucking along and I, for one, really like it. 224 posts and we only started a week ago!

Yeah, I guess it would just be a spellcraft check with the DC = to 15 + spell level.

My Apologies for dropping from 'site' - had a couple of work-related distractions running up to the holiday and popped back to find things running along at a nice pace. Didn't think I could catch up w/o mucking with the flow. Enjoy the game, y'all doing some good gaming...
No sweat Durendal. Keep 'Fel' around. I'm sure there is a game for him somewhere.
