Do we win something if we get it right?

Or will it be like the Price is Right, and the closest without going over wins?

If that's the case, my prediction:

August 26, 2012. :)

Liberty's Edge

You win 500 electrum quatloos.

"There is no 5th Edition. We are not working on 5th Edition. There are currently no plans for a 5th Edition. Say hello to 5th Edition!"

December, 2012.

Bonus question for extra credit: How many posts will Heathy have by then?

00000 he'll have broken the post counter :)

December 21st, 2012 or December 23rd 2012, depending upon how you read the Mayan Calander.
Add 5th edition at the end of the video.

Due to the negative reaction to going from 3.5 to 4.0, they're going to skip the term "5th" entirely. It will simply be called "Cool D&D That Doesn't Really Suck Like All Previous Editions That Stupid People Played (P.S. This Time Grapple is Really Fixed)."

Until 6th edition comes out.

Wait! Wait! Hear me!

We can't wager for trifles like quatloos.
The stakes must be higher.

Please tell me I am not the only one to see the irony in that logic.

Scarab Sages

5th Edition will be announced right after Wizards releases several good adventures, the game is hitting its stride, and some 3pps start doing something interesting with the rules.

But then they can have CD&DtDRSLAPEtSPPPSTTGiRF v1.0 and D&D 6.0.

OK. You're not the only one to see the irony in that logic.

Glad I could help.

It won't be "5th Edition"

It will be "D&D: The Gathering" to be released December 21st, just in time for Christmas, 2012.
