I got a question: according to the old rules, a DC 15 Jump check can reduce the damage from a fall by one die (effectively shortening the distance fallen by 10 feet). A DC 15 Tumble check can do the same thing.
Now, since both of these skills a apart of the new Acrobatics skill, can one use Acrobatics to shorten a fall by 20 feet? And what would the DC for that be?

I imagine that you would have to roll twice, both meeting the DC 15 check.
Jumping Down
If you intentionally jump from a height, you take less damage than you would if you just fell. The DC to jump down from a height is 15. You do not have to get a running start to jump down, so the DC is not doubled if you do not get a running start.If you succeed on the check, you take falling damage as if you had dropped 10 fewer feet than you actually did.
In the 3.5 RAW, the Jump usage would require You to be able to willfully jump downwards (making a Jump check at the beginning) to reduce the height of the fall by 10 feet. Upon landing You would then make the Tumble check to negate 10 feet of falling damage.
I concur with the prior poster's conclusion that two checks would be needed. One for jumping down (to reduce the distance by 10 feet) and one for rolling with the fall (negating 10 feet of falling damage).
