A question of magic...

Why cleric can cast more spell per day than wizard??
they already have better BAB and HD!!

Am I the only one thinking they are overpowered?

They no longer can. They have the same spell progression now. Bout time.

with the domain spells, they are still better spellcasters than wizard and the magic schools.

add the BAB, HP, two strong saves, knowledge of all the clerical spells and armored casting....pretty much unbalanced no??

But can a Cleric blast things with a firball or lightning bolt or magic missile, and then follow up flying into the sky to disintegrate your foes, after turning invisible? No, they cannot.

searing light, flamestrike, air walk, travel domain, trickery domain...

clerics CAN do what wizards do,
wizards cannot do what clerics do...

And when do Clerics get those spells (assuming they even took those domains, which is irrelevant, because half the time they don't do what you think they do)? Later than even Druids. They don't even get most Wizard spells.

Bilbo, I can see from your post count that you're not a regular here, so you might have missed the other theads about this. Clerics have been seriously nerfed in the Pathfinder rules. They get the same spell progression as wizards now. They've lost their domain spells, and had them replaced with lame Cha-based spell-like abilities (which wizards also get). All the cleric's save-or-die spells (slay living, etc.) are now save-or-take-some-damage spells. Shoot, rogues now have the same HD type as clerics do.

I think his point may be that a level 2 cleric gets two level 1 spells and two spell-like abilities (from domains), whereas a level 2 wizard gets two level 1 spells and one spell-like ability (from specialization).

Bilbo, note that a domain gets fewer spell-like abilities than a wizard school (5 for a domain, 7 for a school) and the school abilities are a bit better. That evens things out a bit.

Thank you hogarth, that is my point :-)

divine magic is as resourcefull and powerfull as arcane magic.
cleric can cast the same number of spell than wizard do, so why did they have better hp, bab and save??
