"I am gonna go check on my family to see how Tara is doing. Anyone want to meet up later for some dinner and ale?"
"My family can go to hell, although I'm tempted to flaunt my success in their faces...but that can wait until later. I'd be delighted to meet for dinner.
But first I'd like to study those magical items further."
Sarastal attempts to determine what enchantments lay on the various items and potions.
Spellcraft checks for identification:
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28
I'll update Sarastal's sheet later

Thelix Moody |

I posted some general info in the OOC thread, including a loot list, which is in a spoiler under Thelix's profile. We haven't heard from Theruska in over a month, so I guess he's no longer part of the group, so lets just go with 5. Thelix will take a level of fighter, to get back his Heavy armor proficiency, and his Greatsword proficiency.
Thelix recovering a bit of his dignity hefts the heavy sack of loot from their last mission. "Would anyone like to go help me cash this stuff in"? he asks with a big smile. "I'm not sure how much some of it is worth, but we'd need to cash it in to split up the loot". "If you want anything from the sack...now's the time to speak up".

Days pass by as the group takes some time to rest and recover from their battle at Eel's End. The time is spent eatting, drinking, shopping or visiting with family or friends. The streets still thrum with unrest and wild rumors, crime seems to be on the rise, with pickpocketing, robberies and assults skyrocketing. Some still hiss "upsurper" and "murdering harlot" at the mere utterance of Ileosa's name, and more shockingly, rumors that the king's death was not of natural causes. Most of the rumors purport that someone poisoned the king and in some circles view the queen as the prime suspect. All of these are just rumors though as no evidence has surfaced yet to charge anyone of this crime against Korvosa.
After a couple of weeks at your own leasure, a meet up for dinner is planned by the group to catch up on things. Talk mostly centers around the latest news of a women painter named Trina Sabor, who spent many hours with the king during the weeks before his death. An eye witness confesses to seeing her put poison powder into the king's tea the night he took ill. It is rumored that the portrait was completed at the same time and her services were at an end.
When dinner is almost at a close a breathless Korvosan Guard bursts into the tavern you are all at and informs you that Field Marshal Cressida needs to speak with you all immediatly. As all of you begin to get up quickly the guard on his second breath says to sit tight as she will be arriving in a few moments.....

The Field Marshal enters the tavern you all are at finishing up a nice peaceful dinner. A look of concern on her face as she approaches the table. She begins to speak right away ignoring simple pleasentries....
“You’ve doubtless heard the stories that the king’s killer has
been named. Yet there’s something more going on here, I’m afraid. Queen Ileosa could have quietly had this Trinia Sabor arrested at any time, yet the way in which she revealed the information to the city seems to me like she wants the riots to come back. Certainly, with the mob and the Hellknights out on the street, the girl doesn’t stand a chance at a trial—they’ll lynch her the moment they find her. And even if she did kill the king, mob justice isn’t the way. Worse, if she’s innocent, the real killer can use this distraction to throw us off the trail forever. “Before Trinia is executed, we need to be absolutely sure she did this thing. And that means we need to catch her before the mob. We know where she lives—a flat in Midland at 42 Moon Street—but soon, so will the mob. The Hellknights don’t seem to care as much about catching her as they do about containing the mob—something about
the “order of law” makes it a greater priority for them to contain than a possible assassin. I can’t say I disagree completely, but the problem is, the Hellknights are only making it worse. The mob’s covering most of Midland now, and Trinia’s flat is near the middle of the mess. I’ve got all available guards at work keeping things from getting any worse—and if I were to send them into Midland, they’d trigger a riot. “I’m sure you can see where this is going. I need you to get into Midland, find Trinia, and bring her back to me so we can deliver her, safe and sound, to somewhere where she can be interrogated—preferably with magic, so we can be absolutely sure about her role in Eodred’s death. Get in there, catch her, and get out without letting the mob get its hands on her. I’ll have agents and officers nearby. If you can get her to one of them, we’ll be in the clear. Any questions?”

Inros Har |

Baern, Inros, Yeselle...Please pitch in on how we want to distribute treasure. I can't go shopping till I know how much money I have!
sorry, i've been out of town until today. I thought I would be able to post while gone, but that did not work out. I'd say divide the value of it all by 5, and then just subtract out the items people want from their share. in PbP, i agree it is too long to roleplay equiping, etc
"If the city needs us once again, I am ready to answer the call. Let's get this woman!"

The Field Marshal nods as the group accepts their new mission. She says, "If you can deliver Trina safe and sound to a memeber of the guard you will recieve 1000 gold coins. Now you must go, every minute you delay is one more minute for the mob in the Midland to grow. I wish you good luck in this task!"
She strides out of the tavern leaving you all to your new job. The walk to the Midland's is an easy one, once there though it takes sometime to avoid the crowds of angry mobs or Order of the Nail patrols. Knowing where you are going is a huge help as your group arrives at the tenement in which Trina is said to live. You find yourselves in a densely built section of the city , a place where at ground level direct sunlight is a rareity. Above, jury rigged catwalks, overhanging roofs, lines of laundry and homemade bridges of rope and boards create a cluttered tangle, a multi-level of mess of gutters, upper floors and rooftops. You stand below in this slum area known as the Shingles. Here, in shanties built atop roofs, on upper floors of otherwise abandoned tenements, and amid jungles of chimmeys, peaked roofs and eroding gargoyles and vagabonds, thieves and monsters and perils to match those found n the most dangerous slums. This is where Trina lives. Her home is an old tenement, three floors high containing two dozen flats. Your directions lead you here with little problem. Her place is said to be on the third floor. Few people can be seen most likely staying in due to the rowdy mob roaming the streets. You stand facing the building with steps leading up to a set of double doors opening into the interior. A small foyer can be seen within, an short hallway containing the first floors flats, a set of steps leading to the floors above and the rest of the flats.......
Quickly making your way to the third floor you find yourselves in front of Trina's home in the southwest corner of the building.....

Thelix's knock on the door garners no response from inside as he tells the girl within they are here to help. It falls on deaf ears though he guess as he hears furniture moving inside the flat and what sounds like a window opening very quickly. Thelix tries the door but finds it locked of course all the while trying to chat nicely to the young girl but she seems intent on not listening. The rest of the group stands ready, Thelix steps back to let Yselle do her magic when words begin to form in each of your minds, its a familier feeling you all recently delt with brings a smile to each of you as Majenko's words take shape issuing a warning but no sign of where the little fellow is at...[b]She is escaping out the window, quick before she reaches the roof or you'll have a very difficult time catching her on her home turf and she will disappear for good......

Thelix Moody |

At hearing the warning from his friend, Thelix attempts to burst the door open with his shoulder.
Strength Check - To burst in door. (1d20+2=6)...and suceed's in only denting his new armor, knocking a chip of paint off the door, and bruising his shoulder.
"Hurry Yeselle"! Thelix yells. "I fear she's on the run".

I am still here! This holiday season has been extremely crazy work wise and have not had much time for anything but sleep and work and at the last minute my folks sold their home and bought a new house in Ohio so I had to fly home to help which is where I am at now. Moving in the winter snowy wonderland sucks by the way! The game will continue I promise! The move should all be done today and I have the rest of the week here in Ohio on vacation and plan on getting things back on track with the game!
Cheers
Rob

Back to regularly scheduled programing!
After some time Thelix finally shoulders the door open and stumbles into the room nearly tripping over the boxes and crates that were blocking the door moments ago. The rest of the group files into the one room flat behind him. The flat combines all the amenities of a bedroom, kitchen and a painter's studio into one fifteen foot square space, leaving little room for much else. A stack of cheese and bread sits on the counter next to several waterskins, while the easel in the opposite corner holds a half completed painting of an imp and pseudodragon fighting atop a church steeple. A single window looks out over the tangled rooftops of the Shingles, while just under it, a woman sleeps in a curled-up position on a low bed......

![]() |

Thelix makes his way over to the still sleeping woman in the bed wondering why she didn't awake at all of the noise they made entering. Off to the side Yselle looks around the rest of the flat looking for other occupants but finds none, not really any place for someone to hide but better to be cautious than dead. Bearn follows in with his shield raised ready for any dangers but just like Yselle finds nothing out of the ordinary but for the sleeping woman. As close as Thelix is to the woman he can't figure her out, she looks real enough, must be just a sound sleeper is all one would guess, especially in this neighbourhood. Majenko screams in your heads again, she's on the roof the next building over now, what are you waiting for, she's getting away......
Mean while on the street level Inros looks around and tries to hear which way the fleeing woman is heading. Its really hard to tell from his current position with all of the regular street noise and the collection of different levels of building on top of each other at odd angles makes it impossible to see her from the street. The words from Majenko alert him to move down the street a bit but it gets no easier to see but a glimpse of a figure moving fast across the roofs tells him he is following in the right direction he hopes or maybe it was just shadows just playing with him......

Thelix Moody |

Thelix strips off his armor, and puts on one of the many dresses in the bards chambers. "You will all now call me Thelma-ix he states loudly for all to hear". He then takes out his paint and begins to draw a summoning symbol on the street outside the building, doing everything he can to summon Orcus to the city.
