Always bet on the emberstorm.

My money is on the Shoanti. The bug's going on its back with a big frikkin' spear coming down. Nice art, by the way. Ben Wooten?

Failed my Spot check.

Ben Wotten is a great artist. That cinderland peice is as we speak my desktop. Does anyone know if Ben is doing any more covers for pathfinder stuff? His cover for the cover of river into darkness is awesome.

Then again, the Shoanti could just be about to receive a face full of acid?

Always bet on the bugs, after all they can survive a nuclear winter and some can live for ages with no head, until they starve to death from the lack of a mouth, or am I getting cockroaches confused with standard DandD monsters?

great art by the way, only just realised that clicking on the art in the blog brings it up as a full screen picture.

Nah, what you're not seeing is the next scene - that Shoanti punk being drug down into the bug's hole kicking and screaming, desperately clawing at his face in a futile attempt at removing the steaming gob of acid that the bug is preparing to spit at him, only to be hewn into two as another, off-scene ankheg rips off his legs as the two bugs contend for lunch in a bloody tug of war.

That boy is toast man, toast I say!
