Leave it to Paizo and their great staff I willing to bet they have it handled.

Sorry, but I like the PHB II version better. This two weapon rend doesn't seem to work well as it only works with 1 attack. There needs to be a rend feat that adds damage to every attacks that connect from both hands. This just starts to make it worth while for a fighter to take two weapon fighting.

Are you kidding me? Rolling 1d10 + 1 1/2 STR is awesome. Two weapon Rend put Two Weapon fighting on par with Two handed weapon fighting and that's kinda the point.

*Boggle* PHB2 version allows more than one Rend per round? That's just sick. This feat is *very* useful, adding essentially a two-handed bastard sword swing almost every round, with near automatic success due to multiple attacks with each weapon.
FYI: Epic Level Handbook came out well before Unearthed Arcana (late 3.0 vs. mid 3.5).
