Classes that work

Races & Classes

In the sorceror thread (you know the one),a poster asked a qestion which I think could help Paizo.

What classes from WOTC do you think actually worked?

What I mean by worked was that if it was a campaign (thus not a one shot adventure) over a couple of years, what classes were just plain fun to use and were effective irrespective of non-class related activities.

I'll start.
ToB classes - The crusader is a pain in the ass to run as a DM, but the players loved everything about these 3 classes.

The Focused Spontaneous spellcasters - Beguiler, Dread Necromancer, Warmage - All of these seemed to be fun classes and I've never had players complaining "I want to switch over to X".

Rogue, Druid (yeah, druid is overpowered but even if you don't minmax the class, the druid has so many options that you can't help having fun), Favoured Soul, Cleric

Wizard and Sorceror require some pain at the low levels before they get to being fun whereas the fighter is the direct opposite.

So, what classed did you think WORK?
