Sorcerers now Natural PrCers

Races & Classes

So, with the new feats Sorcerers get and Pathfinder's accelerated feat gain, Sorcerers are now natural PrCers.

For example, lets look at the Loremaster. Normally, it'd be hard to get the feats needed to take it as your 7th level, but if you take your 1st level Bloodline feat as a bloodline's Skill Focus(Knowledge[whatever]) and the 5th as the bloodline's metamagic (of which every bloodline has one), you only need two of your three other feats to be metamagic to meet the feat requires. If you are human, you'd still have two free feats.

The Exchange

Wow, all those feats make sorcerer look like a pretty good class! *snark*
Yeah, I expected a bit more cool to the sorcerer also. I'm gonna give it a try, but I really see nothing new to help extend the 15 minute adventuring day for the Sorcerer. They blow through their spells and are left with touch attacks?!?! That's gonna work well alright.

Unfortunately you still need another feat or taking a class like Human Paragon since Loremaster requires two knowledge skills with ranks of 10 since the base sorcerer only provides knowldege arcana as a class skill.

Sorcerer
Alignment: Any.
Hit Die: d6.
Class Skills
The sorcerer’s class skills are Appraise (Int), Bluff (Cha),
Craft (Int), Fly (Dex), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (arcane)
(Int), Profession (Wis), Spellcraft (Int), and Use Magic
Device (Cha).
Skill Ranks Per Level: 2 + Int modifier.

Also keep in mind that by entering a prestige class, the sorcerer gives up gaining higher level spell-like abilities and feats. Under 3.5, sorcerers typically lost nothing by entering a prestige class.

Humans get a free class skill. Problem solved.

Thanks. Excellent point I'd forgotten that.

Not anymore, they don't. Alpha 2 gives them an extra skill rank, but not an extra class skill. That free rank gives you a +3 bonus in an existing class skill, but not if you put it into a non-class skill.
