This is one of my all time favorite styles of story and I would like to get somebody to run.
So lets see what we can get going.

Zombies mutants high and low tech mad max all that good stuff.

How about an failed alien invasion that spreads the zombie disease and causes mutations?
I've been thinking about starting up a new PbP now that classes are over for the summer, and it's a toss up between d20 apocalypse, restarting the Halo: Gamma Company, or a Mass Effect game. Since my X-Box 360 got the Red Ring of Death last week, it will be a while until I can work on the Mass Effect game. The Halo game needs a lot more work. The only thing I can run "out of the box" is the apocalypse game. I'll see if I can come up with something this week. I've got to work on my character's back story for Aubrey's game first though.
Sounds like fun and so does that halo idea. Just give the word and I'll be there with bells on.

Some think 4/e is an apocalypse (for D&D).

I love GW too. Perhaps once the crazeeness of life slows down a bit I will whip up a d20 apocalypto-style game. I always wanted to do a Frank Herbertish Butlerian Jihad themed game, with a fanatic religious movement hell bent on destroying anything that uses technology from the Digital Age. I'll give it some thought. I'm still interested in the zombie game Kruelaid if you are doing it. :)
