It seems Nick Logue has to draw his line in the sand for which product he wants to publish for.
Yup. And Nick, though saddened, so far looks like he won't -- he CAN'T -- be supporting 4e.
I think I might be misunderstanding a little, but could one individual own two companies, one that produces OGL material and one that provides GSL materials? Then freelancers could work for both companies and still produce what they wanted. (but there would be no confusion if you see a Company X book that it was OGL or GSL... and frankly that confusion would be annoying, so I don't mind this).

In reading the posts, I'm not seeing Wizards' conditions, only Clark's interpretation. I'm not saying Clark is wrong, because he obviously has seen more than me. But before I make my judgment, I need more facts.
I also note that only Clark has made comment to this effect. Logue is silent on the matter.
That said, I could envision that Clark and Logue are in different boats. Clark is a publisher. Logue is a contract-for-hire.

That isn't quite clear yet...
But, I would imagine the GSL would be worded loosely enough that if WotC/Hasbro (note: not the employees/game designers, but the "corporate suits") realized this was the case, and felt infringed upon, they could pull your GSL license and make the decision for you.
We will have to wait and see what the GSL actually reads like...

It does look like more information and clarity is needed, but i'm noticing several responses to Clark's comments from WotC and no one saying "No, that's not true." Whereas they are saying "No, that's not true" to some other things. Clarification is needed, but it's looking like Clark is on the right track, and he has been talking to WotC.

In different threads, I've seen both Nick and James Jacobs echo the interpretation that a company can only make 3.5 materials or 4e materials. I'm assuming this is the case. Nick has also said he will not be going 4e, and voiced some disappointment, I think at ENWorld, about the fact that he can't make a 4e version of his modules, which are otherwise going to have iterations for all the other systems.

I did read all 10 pages... nothing concrete confirming either way, though there were plenty of clarifications from Wizards on other things. The silence itself could be a tacit endorsement of Clark's interpretation.

Much of Clark's info is coming from a phone call he had with WotC (least I think a phone call he only said he talked to them directly and asked them questions) anyways after asking stuff that was what he says was told to him in person. So thats where the info of his is coming from. Just FYI.

And if what Linae Foster and Scott Rouse are saying about 4E being "All or Nothing" is true, then regrettably, I can't offer 4E versions of Sinister Adventures. This bums me out, because my whole goal with the company was to get past the "which system" b++@~%!&. Just put out gritty, well-storied adventures and adapt them for all systems says I. Since I'm going print on demand, it's easy enough for me to do.
But, yeah, if the GSL prohibits me from doing it and doing 4E, then I can't do 4E.

So, Nicholas, what will your first 4e adventures be? From what I've read, the upcoming GSL forbids offering already published 3.x mods in the new rule set.

If there is going to be a divide between 3e and 4e companies (and sadly, it looks like there will be), good to see that 3e support will remain strong in the years to come.
