FORUM ATE MY POST AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Skills & Feats

I'm sorry, I know this is the wrong forum, but since I posted my last one here, I don't care.

Any mod may move this for sure, but right now I'm really pissed off!

!GET YOURSELF A REAL FORUM SOFTWARE!

(Anybody agrees?)

I like the structure and function of this messageboard and find it far and away the easiest to read and navigate of all the RPG boards. That is mostly thanks to it being custom designed. That said, however, lost and vanishing posts are a terrible hassle for something that needs a lot of clear communication, like a PBP. I think that the Postmonster and others are doing what they can, and I hope that the software continues to evolve. The dots and triangles are both recent additions to the functionality of this site, based on customer feedback and an innovative drive from Paizo itself. No off-the-rack software that I have seen is better in anything except reliability, perhaps.

I hear that you are angry. My opinion here is in no way meant to belittle your own. I have had posts flitting out of existence on my first ever PBP and I get that you are frustrated.

I am angry too, but I still like the way this site is put together. Now if we can just get integrated dice rollers, a mapshare function and paizo mail inboxes for people to leave messages, this will be the perfect site.

NOM NOM NOM!

I have now started copying all my posts longer than a sentence or two...and have had considerably less frustration.

ctrl+a, ctrl+c then post. If post is eaten by a grue, repost with ctrl+v

Yeap, select all, copy, and post. If it gets eat, paste, and post again.

Sometimes the forum only eats posts for 15 minutes - 1 hour and then they show up magically. :)

I'm cool with how it is. I've only ever had two eaten. It's not usually this bad, but with the new pf release and 4e causing a massive up swing of people I'm sure the messageboard is fliping out. If I think it's going to take more than 3 minutes to write a post I type it in word then cut and paste. Give it time and after things settle down it'll all be back to normal.

One thing I noticed is you can go into your profile and look at the recent posts you made. If it is just "delayed", then it should be there and viewable.
