I've had a post go missing to. It shows up in my Recent Posts list, but isn't in the thread anymore.
Any idea what's going on Gary? Is it the same old bug or something new?

on the PBP Valegrims Discusion homebrew; the board says last post my Mitsururu or something like that over 1 hour ago; but when I go to the last page; the last entry is mine; so his is missing; can this be fixed?

I think this is an old bug that has been occurring more often because of the giant increase in traffic we've seen over the past few weeks.

A few hours ago I rolled out new code that should help with this problem. (I don't think it will solve it completely but it should be better.)

To be fair, the posts do show up. It just takes a delay of around 30 minutes. It means a lot of double or triple posting until you figure it out.
This has directly affected me about seven times, and indirectly about twelve to fourteen.
My last two posts regarding the Alpha 2 teaser have been eaten.

One thing to be pointed out is that I've had posts disappear, but after some time they do appear. This does lead to periodic bouts of double-posting, and I know I'm not the only one to have done that.

Anyways, this place seems to have an infestation of post faries. I suggest fumigation.
Hi there,
I am experiencing the same problem for about two weeks by now.
The first time it manifested as a double posting after my posting had vanished first.
In the meantime about every second posting of mine gets eaten by whom- or whatever and never shows up again.
This grows really irritating. I am not used having to copy-paste my postings just for the 50% chance that I have to enter the text anew.
My technical settings: Windows XP, Firefox 2.
EDIT: Choosing preview and only after that hitting the "submit post" button seems to work (most of the time).
