Liberty's Edge

Since my previous post seems to have vanished:

I feel like an a$&%%$! for bringing this up again in the face of such (deserved) enthusiasm, but I still can’t register or vote or anything on the site – and I assume I also can’t buy stuff till I register?

I tried out Lilith’s excellent suggestions of allowing cookies from the site, and even upgraded my Internet Explorer browser (at home, can’t do it here at work), no joy.

Nick, please get your tech-team to look at this! Thanks man. I want me some sinister dark indulgences!

Contributor

I'll get my tech guy on this asap, but he's out for the night.

Moth: You don't need to register to buy anything. You can just go ahead and buy stuff.

Cool, thanks man. I'll try the buying.

For anyone out there needing a reason to buy, the Art of the Duel indulgence material looks perfect for Blackjack from CotCT.

Yeah, just chuck it in a shopping cart and PayPal it, then you can download all the awesomeness that is Sinister. I am loving it and plan to use a bunch of it in my current Savage Tide game.

$6 has made me very happy so far.

Blackjack for the win!

It's true. Art of the Duel is PERFECT for Korvosa adventuring.

While on the subject, I just read through the first installment yesterday. Absolutely riveting.

Thanks Trey! Glad to hear it worked out well for you! Which one did you read?

Edge of Anarchy. It was terrific how you and James (James edited, correct?) managed to put in so many different themes and yet keep the style and flow intact. Really top-notch work, I thought.

The Exchange

The Benthic Serpent was rad, and the plot hooks around it were better.

I also enjoyed the art of the duel piece. I have no plans to run anything where it might come up, but the history included was the appropriate amount, and the story bit at the start of the article set a great tone.

Anyway, I like it, and 6 bucks is a great price.

Thanks Trey! I'm proud of that one, and James' edits were AWESOME!

I sinned, and bought the First Wave! With my players, I have discussed playing the new adventure, at 7th level. We intend to use the new Pathfinder 1.1 Alpha rules, along a fast-track advancement. Our party is less than complete, but the players have committed to trying the new core classes, but eagerly anticipate a ranger or paladin very soon, too!

From what I have read, I love the quality, Nick. You should be proud of this showcase presentation. I'll very likely submit my creation for the contest, and look forward to the Character Sheet soon!

Thanks!

Thanks Szombulis! Can't wait to hear how the playtest with the Alpha goes! Sinister and Paizo...now that's a sexy combination!

Character Sheet coming so soon! I can't wait to see the final version myself! :-)

Thanks for sinning! :-)

Dark Archive

Nick, in the Dark Vistas page both the Razor Coast and the Ebon Shroud are listed for release in June, while in the Sneak Peeks page the Ebon Shroud is listed for release in October... what's up?

Oh yes! Wolf does not disappoint, and the art by Aaron Acevedo really makes that Benthic Serpent come to life.

I LOVE the hooks and encounter suggestions he added, super innovative! Really if you want your stuff to be awesome, you should just go to the Wolf!

Gah! Thanks golem101! Ebon Shroud comes out in October! I'll go change that right now!

So Master Nick...

I saw you were talking many versions. A version for PRPG??? That would be nice. I have purchased your fine products. After HMM how could I resist. I cringe to think what your work is going to be like without Doctor James pulling hard on the reigns...

EDIT: You had me at Sinister...

Oh I definitely want to do PRPF versions of EVERY Dark Vista!

Ha! Nope! I've got great and sinister minds lined up for the next few months of them. More from me, but more importantly: Rich Pett is up next month with an adventure called Still Waters. Yum yum!

Janxious, I'm glad you liked the Benthic Serpent and the hooks!

Personally, I liked writing the new spells in the "Death below the Waves" piece, and I loved Craig's take on "Art of the Duel" as well.

I could get used to the Indulgences, definitely.

The spells are good. Buoyancy is especially funny as an offensive spell. Remind me of downdraft|updraft as used against dragons and the like. "Goodbye, Mr. Shark. Better luck next time!"

Nick,

On the Dark Whispers page, there's a mention of there being TWO contests up now under Dark Challenges, but I'm only seeing the Spawn of Dajobas contest. Is there supposed to be another one?

Oh yes indeedy! The other contest goes live in a couple of days! Maybe even tomorrow! Rock! Along with that nifty freebie high-seas flavored character sheet!

Perculated some ideas for the spawn of shark-boy in my sleep last night...

Well, I hope she lets you read Ebon Shroud. No way the fur and fangs crew can let the vamps win.*

Yep, can't register (or vote) - can buy stuff!

When I load the page (Internet Explorer) it reads (down the bottom of the browser) "Done, but with errors on the page"

On the registration page, same thing, and I just can't type anything into any of the fields. Same with voting, am unable to click the boxes.

I've tried on a couple of computers (All running IE as browser). Ive tried clearing cookies, allowing cookies from the site etc.

Help me Obi Wan Ke-Loguey - you're my only hope!
