Disquise Skill ---> Deception

Alpha Release 1 General Discussion

Liberty's Edge

Has anyone suggested and been subsequently accepted and/or debunked the notion of combining the Disguise skill into Deception.

I don't think Disguise requires it's own skill. They both have the same concept, and they both have the same STAT modifier applied.

Any thoughts?

Robert

For simplification purposes, I'd either subsume Disguise into Deception or make it a specialization of Perform.

Liberty's Edge

We playtested this combo. It didn't seem to make that huge of a difference to game balance, and it made sense. We also tried combiming Sleight of Hand into Deception, but decided it was better as a stand-alone skill.

We melded Disable Device and Open Locks into one skill, as well. So Sleight of Hand ended up on its own.

I put use rope in there.

That's the general consensus with my group. Though we removed Sense Motive from Deception because it just didn't make any sense.
