Alpha 1 has some ideas I also incorporated a while ago, but other things are used differently, and I like my versions better.
This is what parts of the Alpha list I'd change:
Acrobatics: Make this Balance, Escape Artist, Tumble, i.e. the dex-based stuff. I don't know whether Escape Artist is cut for good or anything, so if it is, obviously keep it out. The important part is to drop jump (got another place for it). Jumping isn't about dexterity, anyway, it's about strength.
Athletics: Something new, composed of Climb, Jump, Swim. The stuff you need muscles for.
Get rid of Theft. The skill, not the concept.
Instead, fold Open Lock into Disable Device. They both involve mechanical stuff.
Sleight of Hand stays, for all the, well, sleight of hand. It also inherits Use Rope - I'd say that if something is useful for tying knots, it's sleight of hand.

Personally, I really liked the True20 roster of skills, but after reading the PF RPG PDF, I like a few more consolidations.
Appraise (PF version)
Acrobatics
Bluff
Climb
Craft (Forgery honestly is just another craft)
Diplomacy (with Gather Information folded in)
Disable Device (With open locks folded in)
Disguise
Escape Artist
Handle Animal
Heal
Intimidate
Jump
Knowledge
Linguistics
Notice
Perform
Ride
Search
Sense Motive
Sleight of Hand
Spellcraft (with Concentration folded in)
Stealth
Survival
Swim
Use Magic Device
I'm still not quite sold on fly yet, but I've yet to see it in action. It just feels strange to me, like going back to having a scry skill again.
And I know the game isn't about perfectly simulating reality, but every time I see the suggestion that Swim be folding into a skill with jump or climb, I think about the fact that I was fairly good at track when I was in school, but I have never known how to swim. Plus it would mean that nomads in rocky deserts that want to climb will know how to swim without every seeing a large body of water.
I understand why people want to do it, and there is a certain logic to it, but I the above is why I keep mentally tripping over the idea.
