XP and Level Loss


Alpha Release 1 General Discussion


The most obnoxious thing in the world are XP costs and level loss. Can we possibly go to the "XP debt" system instead? It's vastly easier to handle, it retains the bite of XP costs and permanent level loss, but isn't a numerical nightmare and makes item creation something somebody might actually want to do for a change.

I am pretty sure we are going to be moving to a "no XP loss" system instead.

More to come in release 2 on this matter.

What is the timeframe for release 2 and will it address so of the issues that may have arisen with release 1?

You don't know what they're replacing it with. So maybe you won't get fewer groans, but at least they'll be different groans...
