I thought I had already posted this, but I can't find it. So here I go again...
What does the name Pathfinder Chronicles refer to? I thought that was the official name, but so far the adventure paths and the new RPG are simply "Pathfinder".
Personally, I feel that a name like "Pathfinder RPG" is a bit underwhelming and not as likely to make someone interested in looking to see what it's all about. Also, whenever I think "Pathfinder" I think of that viking movie from a few years ago, even though I never even saw it. In fact, one of the people I told about the Pathfinder adventure paths immediately asked me if Pathfinder was a DnD adaptation of said viking movie.
So my point is this: How about naming the rpg "Pathfinder Chronicles RPG", or even simply "The Pathfinder Chronicles"? It's a more appealing name in my opinion, and this one is less likely to make people think of vikings.
Well okay, vikings are cool and all, and the people of the Lands of the Linnorm Kings are viking-like, but a title that makes people think that the product is largely related to vikings could turn off those who are less enthusiastic about vikings.

Pathfinder Chronicles is the Campaign Setting, as distinct from the more rules heavy adventures, or pure-rules RPG.

We've actually been quietly tweaking our branding over the last few weeks to address some of this.
Pathfinder is the overarching name encompassing several product lines.
Pathfinder Chronicles is our campaign setting. When you see products with that in the title, expect them to have a worldbuilding-type focus on that setting.
The Pathfinder RPG is our roleplaying game. When you see products with that in the title, expect them to have a focus on rules and game mechanics. You need not be playing in the Pathfinder Chronicles setting to make use of these products.
The Pathfinder Adventure Path products are monthly books containing an Adventure Path and support material, set in the Pathfinder Chronicles campaign setting.
Pathfinder Modules is our line of short adventures set in the Pathfinder Chronicles campaign setting.
Pathfinder Companion is our line of products aimed primarily at players using the Pathfinder Chronicles campaign setting. You can expect these products to contain setting information and mechanics with a specific player focus.
The Pathfinder Society is our organized play program for the Pathfinder Chronicles campaign setting.
We're not terribly concerned about confusion with a movie that few people saw—especially one that's becoming more and more obscure every day—or, as Erik Mona likes to say, about confusion with the Nissan sport utility vehicle of the same name.
