"Beckett" did a review of Paizo's upcoming rpg over at rpg.net:

Personally, I'm in agreement with him/her and many of the follow-up comments. Pathfinder RPG - Alpha at the moment does feel more like a set of houserules from someone's campaign than an indepth reinterpretation of the underlying 3.5 system. It's more like the Advanced Players Manual from Green Ronin Publishing than, for example True20 or even Arcana Evolved by Malhavoc (though I'm not sure Paizo should even try to go in those directions. Too many compatibility issues.)
I have no doubt it will change in the months ahead.
