Classic Feel Miniatures

3.5/d20/OGL

I just stumbled tonight across this website. This looks very interesting for those who may like the classic feel of DnD.

Otherworld

Comments anyone?

I'm sure I saw this site mentioned over at the Acaeum some time last year. The sculpts are all directly based on the pictures from the 1e MM (and similar 1e sources). The idol from the PHB cover is particularly cool. I'm not in the market for minis at the moment, but these do look very nice all the same.

What a coincidence! Just yesterday, I was checking out some dungeon pics over at the dwarven forge website and noticed that Demon Idol in a lot of them. I was wondering where that mini came from. Now I know. Thanks.

They're really treading the thin ice of Copyright Infringement IMHO.

Admittedly, though, I do like them :-)

Yes, I thought the same thing. I didn't see any acknowledgement to the artists, and the demon idol looks near-exactly like the PHB statue.

I bought one, before they get slammed. As soon as it arrives in the post, I'll let everyone know how it really looks.

Oh, everything comes unpainted, by the by.

Now those are my ideas of minitures for D&D. Far better in my opinion that what is offered by WOTC.

Yeah. The only problem is the durn plastic crack is so cheap. It's nice to have them for encounters. Tokens never worked for me (I would forget them because they weren't as visual.) This site looks good and I'm going to have to get a few of theirs. Once I've painted up some of my backlog...
