I am being followed by dots wherever I post!
It's a feature not a bug...

I was wondering how long until someone noticed....
Gary, I really thought I needed to get my eyes checked when I first saw "them". Don't do stuff like that to me, man...
D(epartmen) O(f) T(ransportation) ?

Aww....I wanted pink dots. Can I have pink dots, please, huh, huh, can I, can I, huh, please, pretty please, I promise to be good!
I think I'll move this thread to the website feedback forum, 'cause that's kinda where it belongs.
It's the black spot! I'm doomed! Doomed, I say. Doo hoo hoomed!!!
I finally understand... Was beginning to think you were all just sick with some kind of Paizonian-flu or worse...
So... what do they mean!?!?!?
Greg
They indicate threads in which you have posted.
Rauol_Duke wrote: They indicate threads in which you have posted. Yeah, just figured that out... :-} It's Saturday, and I'm a little slow...

Gary, love the dots, man. Noticed 'em right away when I logged on this morning and thought, "Wow, that makes perfect sense. What an elegant, useful addition." Then my second thought was, "Wow, I'm thinking like the All-Seeing Eye now. Does that mean I'm finally ready to take over the world?"
I too was like... what's with the Dots??? But it's a freaking awesome idea.
To be clear, the dot only shows if you've posted in the last couple pages of a thread. I don't want to be burning CPU just to determine if someone's ever posted in the three word game or untitled threads....

It's a basic EMT acronym for trauma patient evaluation.

I'm working on my DOT collection. Now, I need to be able to connect them all.
Maybe with Splines, Gary. :-)
I'd just like to note that these new "dots" that indicate what threads one has posted in are awesome.
Thanks to whoever did this!
I must say I have never seen this feature on a forum before but absolutely love it. SUbtle and sublime.
PostMonster:
Many of my dots have suddenly vanished, which is strange given that nobody seems to have been posting on some of those threads now for some time. Have the rules by which they (dots) are alloted changed?
Yes, but I hope the change is only temporary. For performance reasons, if the most recent post to a thread is more than a week old, you won't see a dot.
Any chance of getting dots on threads where we've posted with aliases? This would be particularly useful for the PBPs.
Thanks!
I might be able to do that when I'm ready to bring the full power of the dots back online.
"The full power of the dots"
Ok, I'm intimidated.
Thanks!
So, instead of the dreaded Tiny blue Creatures, we get dots?
Nice AF joke :D

The dots have been re-enabled for threads older than one week.
Also, you should see dots for threads you've posted in using an alias.
Also, they now show up on the messageboards latest ten (which I hope is no longer completely hepped up on goofballs).

You also see dots when you hold your breath too long.....or when you sneeze on your screen.
