Thundercats fake fan trailer
That was incredibly impressive... and kinda disturbing. Who spends that kind of time and attention on Thundercats??? I hope it was some sorta project.

I tried really hard at chemistry; couldn't get it.

In biology, none of the stuff made sense, but I could dissect like a master. My biology lab teacher guy said "sometimes, I am thinking you are utterly useless. Other times, you surprise me. What is the deal with you?"
I will admit to being overly fascinated with the poor sods in the black sacs. Too bad I was an indifferent biology and chemistry student back in high school.
It's funny, though; I can never quite tell just what, if anything, is going to pique the players' fancy.

This fight is far from over - we dropped one of them, but Stig's down, and we've rolled ridiculously well so far. Once the karma of the dice gods even out, we might be in trouble.
I'm worried about the larger ramifications of this fight, especially as it seems somewhat unnecessary. Still, they were a bunch of dicks, so to hell with them.
Lawful neutral....go figure.
Oh; this is my "Batman homage," as it were.
My only ulterior motive was to demonstrate that it could be done without being utterly wanky.
And for getting some DM respect, there's nothing like dropping the tank in the first round.
It's just "costumed vigilantes" and smackemup fighting; dark gritty "noir" type vibe, somber, sorta urban bleak.

By the way, I saw Ninja Assassin too on the weekend. Loved it.
Really, it is mindless (campy, was never intended to be serious), has Sho Kosugi, and plays the ninja cliches really well. It is way more Asian than most of the ninja crap out there (example, the love affair does not result in a hollywood f*%% scene, but instead in a characteristically Asian love tragedy)
If you haven't paid for it, and have some time to kill, and you like ninjas enough to see you through a couple of (not indominable) plot holes, I would say "see it". I've seen way worse... Ninja (2010) for example.
... and not for the same state of mind as Hurt Locker, that's for certain.

I HATED f$+%ing Last Samurai because I don't feel like I need Tom Cruise up there to interact with 19th century Japan, so I like the idea of tragic romance instead of typical boy gets/loses/f@$*s girl westernized Chinese canned chow mein crapola.

The Hurt Locker is frikkin tight. It's up there; best picture; if it didn't deserve it well it belongs up there in that company. Tight flick, man.

The ronin ninja is very f!%#ing ninja looking. They didn't even cave in for one of the Asian dudes who looks sort of vaguely North America.... He was played by Rain, a Korean pop idol (who knew he could do the moves) who is famous all over Korea, Japan, and CHina, and somewhat in the Philippines too. In fact, you need to know that to get a couple of the jokes.

Frank Miller was the last guy to do right with whitey-learns-oriental-secrets schtick: Elektra. (And the movies were crap, am I right?)
Acting was better than moderate. Really ninjas don't have feelings unless they are avenging anyway, and that's when they got the masks on.
Elektra movie was useless. Jennifer Garner is hot but....we have the interwebz so whupty do.
I think the original Miller Wolverine 4 ish was pretty freakin tight; Elektra was tight; Miller was awesome back in the day.
But, having seen Seven Samurai, and Toshiro Mifune in Samurai 1-3 as Musashi, and Rashomon, and.....Ran.....and....etc...etc...

As you see a little upthread, I thought Ninja Assassin was pretty crappy. However, if they'd taken out all the white people, it would actually have been pretty cool, and I agree with most of Kruelaid's points. Now, if it had been a white ninja... *shudder*
