My only regret is that the dead weren't something a little more delectable than elves.
Fakey, Aso is trying to make friends with Holdrus because he thinks he's tough and he charged into battle like a maniac. He's giving you the bone dagger.

Great fight! Great game! I can't wait to see what happens next. Thanks mwbeeler.
Beeler, you have a way with words, my friend. I've been checking out Gobbo, too, since I started DS. Awesome scene-setting.

Hey thanks! That means a lot. To be fair though, I have great groups of players who never fail to throw me!

I don't want to give too much away, but I wouldn't worry about pinching pennies for weapons.

You know it’s a strange game when your possessions list goes something like:
Pants, Rope, Elf arm.
mwbeeler wrote: I don't want to give too much away, but I wouldn't worry about pinching pennies for weapons. I know Shiny is mourning the loss of Radik's mace. But I kind of like subsistence adventuring. One of my favorite campaigns using Rolemaster had us playing a bunch of out of luck sellswords always 1 coin away from pawning our shirts. That and we were VERY afraid of monsters. My character had one eye because of a nasty critical hit in my first ever RM melee.
But don't let me dissuade you from letting Aso find some cherry armour and a nasty small sized greatsword.

Yeah, there's nothing quite like watching a party tear each other to pieces over a steel belt buckle to bring a smile to a DM's face.

Hey, why do you think I'm playing a monk? Skarsnikt's idea of "equipment" is a few rocks he can throw at someone he can't quite reach.

Oh yeah..
Issiki is kind of a nutcase in his own little way.
But then they all are it seems.

I'm really sorry guys, I just can't keep up with this game. I'm gonna have to let Illyen bow out. Just assume that he invisibly makes his way towards.... something. :)

Ah; come back o fatespinny; just put a post for a lot of your actions consecutively that the gm can do when it comes time and put out a few rolls that can be used for spot and stuff; its all cool I am sure.

Kruelaid wrote: Total bummerization. Beeler, you are welcome to make Illyen part of "The Plot" as there are certainly a great many reasons why an elf would want to make such a discreet getaway at a time like that.

To avoid subsiding on semi-cooked elf flesh? To avoid being eaten by the kreen? Man, the possibilities are endless!

Ah, that's too bad. I didn't want to chase you away; I had a whole plan where my character would just refer to yours as "it" every time he talked about him and just avoid him completely, assuming the rest of the "clutch" was in favor of keeping him around.

What I really like about this game is we don't just happily trust each other. Except one Champions and one RM campaign both years ago, every game I've ever played in has been the classic "hey lets go adventuring together" where everyone just magically gets along. I mean it hasn't been crappy gaming, but it did mostly rather lack in any kind of party tension.
I love Dark Sun. Why the f~~& did it get canceled?

If you change your mind, I’ve some great plots hooks waiting in the wings, so there won’t be any trouble working you back into the game.
Kruelaid wrote: What I really like about this game is we don't just happily trust each other. Agreed. What I want to try would have never worked in a mutual trust assumption based setting.

Aight; off to do laundry and gas up the cars for the holidays.
JUst letting my newest group of friends know, I'll probably have internet access all week, but not much time to use it until almost a week after the New Year! (Around the 6th or so!)
So, If I don't see you until then,
