As I slept, pondering my Country entry, I dreamed that, while working on further rules inclusive entries (Villain Stat Block and Monsters) WOTC posted the 4th Edition SRD.
This SRD replaced our current 3.5 SRD, the same as 3.5 replaced 3rd Edition. Therefore, we were all thrown into a panic as we had to use the SRD as listed for our creations.
I was woken up by a phone call from work shortly thereafter.
The dream was better...

Holy crap. That SUCKS.
I had a nightmare that I got online and discovered that I had been late-disqualified for not being popular enough, or a weird SRD discprenency or something - basically, it was that someone pointed out something that I had screwed up, and the judges yanked it.

I was just reviewing your item, and I noticed a discrepancy.
You know that silver and cold iron can't be alloyed per SRD section 27B/6, right?
Where are the judges on this injustice!?!

I'm not going to go on and on, and this probably isn't the forum for this discussion, but I have some serious problems with Paizo's handling of that particular issue.
As it stands, I'd simply going to offer my sincerest sympathies.
Yeah, the more I think about it, the rougher it gets. This was my first experience with the Paizo community, and it was a big tease! At least they were really nice about it. But now I keep thinking about the country I would have submitted, and it keeps getting cooler and cooler.
I just wish there had been an appeals process, or they had let us know privately and let us trim a bit of extra stuff to bring it down to the official word count. Especially since they announced publicly we had good stuff, and they needed someone else to bring up the word count.
Oh, well. Live and learn.
