Okay, I am just curious, but did we lose a month on Pathfinder production?
First we heard that the lack of a September issue would be made up by sending us two issues in October, and now the 3rd issue seems to be coming in the first few days of November. Then, I saw a post that said that Pafinder 4 is expected in early December. And with the holidays and everything, I can't imagine us getting two issues in December?
So, did we lose a month? Its okay if we did, I just keep expecting to get two issues in one month and it does not seem like it is going to happen.
Just be honest with us, please.

actually it was posted that there would not be 2 Pfs this month. The one that came out at the top of the month is THIS month's issue/book.
more or less the delay is due to everything just hit Paizo at once, with the release of Pathfinder #1, Gen Con & other things, the month off has helped them get things back in order.
I for one am glad there isn't 2 issues this month (bank account couldn't take it!!! LOL)
curious thou-- Paizo, when will #3 & the GM module come out next? (don't want to get caught shorthanded in the $$$$)

Haldir ... I was quoting from Paizo staff:
Regarding #3
"We're still expecting our shipment on the 31st, though there's still plenty of time for the boat to get delayed into port, or the shipment to get held in customs, or the truck to be late.
But if all goes well, fulfillment will begin in the first days of November, and the retail release date (which is when non-subscribers can buy the PDF) will be in the middle of the month."
AND
Q - "RotRL 4 is scheduled for November as well... So what would be your estimate for that release?
A - We should be getting a delivery date from the printer this week, but we think it will be early December. (I've updated the website.)"
So it still seems to me that we have lost a month ......
Question to Paizo: If RotRL 4 does come in the last few days of November, or very early December, will we get another issue before the holidays?
Thanks so much.

I wouldn't sweat it, I think many of us are still trying to work through Savage Tide.
The party I DM just finished City of Broken Idols and now I get to take a break while I get to play in the first RORL module. We will swtich back and forth between the 2 campaigns. Having DM'd for the last 2 years straight I am ready to be a player for a little while.
Keep us the good work! We all appreciate the efforts and understand that delays happen.

We're just behind right now, Fenrat. We expect there will be a double month in there somewhere, but we don't exactly know when. Which is why we keep pushing it back a month.
We're trying to catch up, man.
Look at it this way - if your stuff sucked, no one would care when it's released! As it stands Pathfinder/Gamemastery is the best roleplaying product to hit the market since the dawn of time...so we're a bit anxious, but we'll live.
Thanks for the update!

Thanks Mike ..... no pressure ... I just wanted clarification ..... as the person above stated, its just a testament to how good your products are that we get ancy and can't wait for the next issue.

It looks like we'll be "catching up" this month. We're going to be starting the shipping to customers process for Pathfinder 3 this week, and Pathfinder 4 is already several weeks into its print cycle. I suspect that Pathfinder 4 will probably be shipping to customers and distributors by the end of this month, which would indeed make November the "double month." Pathfinder 5, then, would be back on schedule and should be shipping to customers in December. Which makes me happy; it's proof that the 60+ hour work weeks did something to get Pathfinder back on schedule.

That was my quote. Since then, we did get the delivery date from the printer, and it's currently slated to arrive during the last week of November. And, if it arrives early in that week, there's a pretty good chance that we'll be able to get most, if not all, of those subscriber copies out in November.
The big problem hampering communication here is that assigning books to "months" is a somewhat futile effort. For one thing, when we're talking about a shipment coming from China, we're not going to have an exact date until right before it shows up. So, while Pathfinder 4 will probably arrive in late November, it could also arrive in early December. Or, take the case of Pathfinder 3, which just arrived in our warehouse. We'll probably be processing cards today, tomorrow, and Friday. So do you want to count that as an October or November book? Even the people who get charged on October 31st won't get their printed copies until November... and the retail release will be in the middle of November....
It might be better to think of it this way: Our plan is to send you a book roughly every four weeks. We got behind by a couple weeks early on, and as we start catching up, we're hoping to reduce that gap to three weeks once or twice. But we really aren't going to be able to give you lots of warning on that.

I think for all of the prior Pathfinders, I've been among those gibbering and slobbering in anticipatin for shipment dates, and I understand the OP's intent.
I don't think it would be proper without me posting somewhere in the thread and add my eager anticipation to the arrival. Each Pathfinder has been a treat, and my wife and I have savored every moment. I've done overtime, and personally going a bit fruity after 2 - 3 months of it myself, I deeply value all of the hard work everyone has put into these. Currently, I've been laid off recently, but when I regain an income, I'll buy anything Paizonian I can get my hands on.
I also think that having a month gap is much better than having some horrible blog announcement that issue 3 will be scraped alltogether and on to # 4. So, since it's just a matter of a delay as opposed to not getting it at all, I will learn patience (to quote an old Jedi).

Guys,
I appreciate the effort to get back on track. For me the important thing is consistency. If we are getting books every 4 weeks from here on out, that's fine. A year from now, it will it will be a moot point that September was a missed month. The quality is great, and I look forward to the next one.

Out in the wilderness, a lonely voice is heard "but I need a chance to read it, absorb it and reread it first"...
Wow, by the end of this month we'll possibly be 2/3 of the way through RotRL. Doesn't time fly!
So, is there news on a subscription to Chronicles?

Weyhey great work chaps. Now ... since you have demonstrated that you can produce two Pathfinders a month we will be expecting two Pathfinders EVERY month from now on . Muuhaahaa!

I hope then we get a good time telling us before the money is taken from our account this month. I love the products don't get me wrong, but I didn't expect to get hit twice a month (even if it's a one time thing (I hope)), epically with the last two months to go in the year as well (other everyday stuff).
Like I said, love the product, just wasn't expecting a double shipment (does this include a GM module as well or just Pathfinder?)
At least nothing coming from Wizards this month!!!!!

Here in germany, i can't even get RotR #2...all shops still saying "preoder"...
Difficulties also for the various GM modules. Most sold out or on preorder only...
Living in Britain I have found that with the subscription discount it is a similar price to subscribe with Paizo and have them sent straight to me, despite postage cost (and plus i get a free pdf that way).
Apparently I should get my order before, or at the same time as it hits the shops (and i've already got the Skinsaw Murders pdf sat on my desktop).
Perhaps this is only economical because of the strong pound, but i would suggest loking into it.

same, just was wondering, will there be a GM module with Pf #4 (ie the 2nd shipment this month)? I got my confirm yesterday regarding #3 & EwtP, which in all sense, Paizo can fire away & take that cash!!, ha ha, as I'm good to go with that one.
I'm just more concerned with this second shipment later this month & of course the December release (since it sounds like #4 will get released & then about a week or so later, #5 & whatever GM module is released will release around Dec #1 or so, ie the normal monthly shipment)

Answers to Haldir:
Both J1:EwtP and PF3:HMM arrived earlier this week at Paizo warehouse. Therefore, both will be shipping together and are both pending because they will ship shortly.
The "double month" will probably not mean you will get two PF and 2 Modules shipped together, nor will they ship with only one week in between. As Paizo staff said here or somewhere else, they aim for a gap of 4 weeks in between shipments, and the "double month" only means they will, once or twice, shorten that delay at 3 weeks.

Sorry, I misunderstood that to be a question about : why your PF3 was pending and possibly waiting for J1, when you had that "wait on Pathfinder before shippimg my GM modules" option checked...
I changed my previous post :)

I think people are confused with what I have posted as well
hopefully clarrifiy this, with this post:
Pathfinder #3 & Entombed with the Pharoahs
yes I got confirms for this, just waiting on shipment, that doesn't bother me as I have this covered.
What I'm concerned with is
a) when Pathfinder #4 will ship this month (ok I just read that is suppose to be the last week of this month), which brings me to question (c).
b) will there be a GM module with it , as I'm subscribed to both items (that increased the cost (doubles it almost)
c) how much time there will inbetween the shipping of #4/GM? to #5/GM next month, since the issues are being released around the first of each month now. which if say Pf 4 comes out on Nov 15 let say, that would give about 2 weeks before 5/GM shipment goes out. That I can handle.
More or less it boils down to funds in my account. I mean I don't want to go over & with 3 shots of around $20 being taken out, that means I'd really have to watch out for those payments. I have the funds to support subscriptions, reason why I did them in the first place, just didn't expect it more then once a month.
It'll be a different story when the Chronicles sub come about, but for now I'd like a bit more info & not a "Oh btw a Paizo order is being shipped, better have funds in the account" thing.
hope this clears up what I posted
thanks

We are expecting both Pathfinder 4 and E1: Carnival of Tears at the end of November.
We don't have firm dates for Pathfinder 5 or J2: Guardians of Dragonfall yet, but they're tentatively slated for the end of December.

Beastman: Same here in Finland. I think I have one session of Burnt offerings left, and all the game stores have to offer is preorder. I figured out earlier that by subscribing I would get the book the same time I would get it from my local store. But now when I'm running out of material I'd be very glad if I had the pdf on my computer =). So I think we should just subscribe... ;)

Salama, subscribe!
I'm UK based and I get the pdf when my credit card is charged. With international shipping that's at least 1 week before the issue comes through my door. You're running the adventure now, so getting your hands on it early is a good idea, it increases the prep you can do, and might let you do a bit of foreshadowing.

Just want to say that we really appreciate you putting yourselves through the wringer to keep the good stuff coming!
I think that after that, you deserve a nice vacation!

Just preorder. All you need is a credit card (which I found is quite useful, anyway). The 30% discount will make up for the 5 dollars shipping, and the $/€ exchange rate means that you'll pay something like 13-14 € per issue, will get the stuff early enough - and will get the free PDF as soon as they're shipping your print edition, which makes a great preview AND reference for sesssion preparations.
