When I first saw the image of Seoni, the iconic sorceress, I felt that it was an odd image for a first level character. Admittedly, it's going to be the same image for the entire level progression, but it still felt strange. However, looking then at the writeup in PF #1 of the Runelord of enchantment, Sorshen, I had a sneaking suspicion that Seoni's image originally was meant to be of Sorshen.
Any thoughts?

Fun suspicious. But not so. The iconics were worked up earlier than the Runelords as evidenced by their appearance in D0 and D1 long before PF#1 even out. Also, why would they need art for Sorshen, she makes no appearance in any way shape or form.
From what I remember Seoni was onboard as a hot tattooed iconic sorceress early on - take a look at her feats.
For what it's worth though, when I first saw her and Karzoug I did think they would make a smoking pair of wizard-f@%+-buddies though. ;-)

Seoni was intended to be Seoni from the start. Sorshen wasn't even in the picture by the time we had sketches coming in of Seoni, in fact.
Character level progression (and their changing gear) and iconic character illustrations don't go hand in hand. They're not supposed to.
The closest we're likly to have of a picture of Sorshen anytime soon is on the side of the Sunken Queen in Pathfinder 1.

A 'Glaive' isn't much of an issue. It'd be the character toting the Greatclub or Warmace I'd be more worried about.
Darn it! Why do you have to keep putting my mind in the gutter Dark Art!
There is a great deal more I might write...but I get the feeling I might already get called on some of the things I've been writing in the Pathfinder threads....so I'll refrain.

Like the song says, the wizard's staff has a knob at the end.
