Are there going to be Pathfinder miniatures and if so, can we hope to see the Iconics make it into the sets?
Yes, there are going to be Pathfinder minis, check out the chat log from 10/9/07. I don't know if the iconics are going to make it in, though. :(

I heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend who knows someone who works at the office downstairs from Paizo that there might possibly be a miniature of someone resembling an iconic, maybe.

After a meticulous reading of Mike's comment I've narrowed the possible miniature down to Seoni, Terry Luttrell, Kevin Cronin, or Mike Murphy.

Not that I'm disappointed, but how'd you narrow it down to Seoni?

It's a joke about a horrible 80's rock band, and lyrics from one of their better-known "songs", if you can call it that. Now I'm stuck w/ that damn song in my head...sweet mother of pearl, make it go away!!!

Ha! As I spread the poison in my head, the terrible voices of awful '80s music are quieted.

Gaah! You've done it again; I can't get Poison out of my head! Something tells me I'll dream of 80's hair-bands and wake up screaming in a cold sweat...
On Topic: will these Pathfinder minis be pre-painted? I have a skill of Craft: Miniature Painting in the negatives, so I never find myself interested in unpainted figures. (That's sadly why I didn't buy up lots of Ptolus miniatures.)

If I remember correctly they'll be unpainted metal figures. I personally can't wait to see them and paint them. A negative painting score would definitely take the fun out of those, though. I guess what they say is true- every rose has its thorn.

Arrggghh, Poisoned. Hey, Alice Cooper had a song called poison....."I wanna taste you but your lips are venomous poison...." AHHH!!!
Poison recently covered "Poison" on the same CD they covered Justin Timberlake.

Ugh.. I didn't get the Ptolus ones for the same reason, and we ran a big Ptolus campaign too.
I can't paint for anything. I'll just have to buy one painted or bribe one of my friends that paints to do any figurines I like.

I'd love to see minis of stuff that you can't replicate pretty easy from other makers be made into minis. Iconics are nice in all & I'd love to have the 4 adventurers (btw do they have a group name?) but I'd still like to see adventure creatures.
Epically of main villain types, like skinsaw man, Pathfinder #1's villain (not gonna reveal the name), etc etc.

Dangit, I was hoping this was a thread recommending proxies for the critters with hard to find or non-existent minis like Yeth Hounds, Sinspawn, Tentamorts, Bunyips, or wolves with D&D medium-sized bases.
That's somewhere... else. I had suggested before a Reaper Minis gnome for a Varisian goblin. Just take a peek around the forums and you'll find the thread. Or someone else will link to it from here.

Hey, if you ever feel like trying your hand at painting minis again, let me (or some of the other mini-painting forum-goers) know and I'll (we'll) try to give you advice or whatever. (Though that might be easier if these boards had some sort of PM option.) Painting minis really isn't as difficult as some would make it out to be, and can be really fun once you get into the groove of it. :)

Thanks for the offer, Azzy. I'm not likely to take you up on it, though, b/c I'm a recovering "huffer", and I'm afraid of what I'd do w/ those little bottles of paint. Think Laura Dern's character in "Citizen Ruth". No, I'm kidding. I'd like for an accomplished painter on these boards to offer their services for $. Say, we--the un-artistic--send you an unpainted mini, you paint it up real purty' like, send it back, and we send you a fee that includes the shipping/handling. Unrealistic, but that's what I'd pay for...

There are people who do this, but overall its not cheap. The person I know who does it is HERE.

Since Paizo is going all out with their Pathfinder line has anyone given any thought regarding an action figure line, after all action figures are just big minis. Someone in the rpg industry should really consider giving McFarlane toys the rights to produce action figures based off of their products. Anyway, its just a thought and something I think Paizo should consider. McFarlane toys and Pathfinder would make an awsome combination.

Gotta be careful around here.. some of the posters listen to high addictive, terribly annoying, once popular 80s music and well.. you know what happens...
