Ok all; we are getting down to the wire so we need to seriously start discussing the day before All Saints Day. We need a nice D&D theme for our Jack O' Lanterns this year; last year was Beholder O' Lanterns and we had some fun with it; see the pics if you need to.
ok; so we need a Jack theme with postable pics
time to put out the Hallow'd recipes again...the good ones.
Sigh, I think I am being roped into being a superhero this year costumewise, what are you guys doing?
Anyone want to relate a ghost story; this is the thread.
how about good theme music other than canned tracks you buy at the store; anyone gonna mix up a nice brew of music tracks to play while handing out grub?
only 37 days to plan; remember that your paper mache stuff is gonna take some time to dry and paint so time to get started and your themed D&D adventures dont just write themselves.

I tried the cheerleading last week-ish here. I got the mask in the mail last week that I'm going to paint and glue black feathers onto. I also have some other things on order. I'm getting worried because none of my usual Halloween crew has dedicated themselves to throwing a really good party. It's sadly looking like there will be a few smaller parties that really need a bigger venue to combine them for a splendid time. I'm sure it will pan out.

Am for Goblins if others are; was thinking of that as I started the thread and thought it might be a nice tribute to Paizo and Pathfinder; will you be posting our pics again this year Lilith? I was thinking of playing the soundtrack or the jsut the part where the girl summons the goblin king to take her baby brother away in that cool movie with David Bowie :)

Labyrinth FTW!
So Pathfinderesque goblins it is. In tribute to Paizo, Pathfinder and... well, goblins I guess.

We can win Jennifer Connelly?
Link please. I've always wanted a Hollywood slave. She can give me acting lessons as she helps me clean up all this clutter.

Oh, I know all about the patterns online...I have about 7 of the Funkins (fake pumpkins) that I have carved using the various patterns.
What I was asking about is if anyone has drawn their own Paizo Goblin pattern. I tried and it didn't turn out well. The dogslicer is easy, but getting the face right was not.

hehe; I have not bought my pumpkin yet; has anyone else; didnt want it to spoil to soon. There are lots and lots of patterns online for pumpkin carving and a lot more for sale, I just draw my own though.
I got mine, but it'll be turned into a pie (at least, I hope).

As for music... I'm no composer, but someone is. check this out:Click here.
Try Kobold O' Lanterns next year. Or maybe Stirge O' Lanterns. I think I'll try the goblins.
P.S. Don't be put off by the Dragonlance thing.

Where's the pics?
Umm...not ready yet? Still a bit early for carving, and we don't want mushy goblin heads. :P
As for the Paizo/Pathfinder goblins, go forth and read the Paizo blog back towards April and onwards.

There's a link at the bottom of the page that says "Older Posts," but here's a direct link to April.

The best thing about doing goblins it that you can buy your punkin late and not worry that you end up with the weird shaped ones.
You are like the Michaelangelo of truth, D.
Completely right you are... no way to f up a goblin face, is there? Unless it comes out looking like Brad Pitt or something. Then you know you really suck.

Send me your addy and I'll send you my template.
I'm going to get an oblong pumpkin and turn it on its side so the goblin can have a wide face.
Don't suppose I can get one of those while you are at it. Please!!

It would be much appreciated and our girls will think it rocks!

I'd love a template too!

Halloween is more of a USA thing, but now I've got kids, I'll probably make more of an effort. Trouble is, kids over here seem to have latched onto the 'give us stuff' aspect, without any of the 'celebration'; they just come round your house in hoodies and shuffle on your doorstep, looking shifty.
I showed a werewolf mask to my son at the weekend, and he didn't cry, but he pulled such a sour face that it made a gaggle of teenage girls laugh and fuss over him. I think I'll buy that mask and keep it in my pocket all year round...Tee Hee!
Can anyone post a link to previous years pumpkin photos?
