Minotaurs or Tauren? There is a huge difference between the two. And if you must choose, and only include one, put the Minotaurs in. IMHO, Tauren blow chunks compared to the far superior race they were based off of.
with the push that has been stated of using real life mythologies in the setting, I would trust that Minotaurs of ancient Greece are going to make it in before the offshoot Tauren

Okay maybe I"m just being stupid or a bit obvious here, but I hope you understand that Tauren are copywritten by Blizzard and cannot be used. Minatours can however, as they are of real world mythos and unable to be copywritten.
But anywho, still would be nice to see some in the future or with a gamemastery module. I'm sure it will be a while till a Pathfinder Chronicle has one.

Just curious, where are you getting the Tauren idea from? Is this OGL? Actually, I love the Tauren from World of Warcraft RPG (the D&D version, I've never seen or played the online game), but I would have thought Tauren would have been World of Warcraft product identity?
If Paizo have a) D20 SRD; b) OGL critters; c) their own creations to draw from, I suspect they'll go with common SRD minotaurs, but put their own creative spin on them, as they have already done with goblins, ogres, stone giants et al. However, "creative spin" could very possibly make common SRD minotaurs resemble something much cooler than we're familiar with, which seems pretty much what the Warcraft guys did with Tauren.

okay okay, point taken . . . I guess I shoulda said "Tauren". I know that Paizo couldn't take Blizzards intellectual property . .
But what I meant is that Tauren from WoW viewed as "Cow/Bull People" (a Cow or Bull Furry if you will), where as a Minotaur is Half Man/Half Bull.
I'd rather see the half-breed rather than the furry . . . that's all.

There's a minotaur, I believe, in an upcoming GameMastery module. There are none scheduled for appearance in Rise of the Runelords. My preference, though, is that they won't really be a "race" as much as they will be a "monster." I'd rather treat them like medusae and chimeras and gorgons rather than giants or trolls or ogres, so there probably won't be any minotaur nations (or even towns) in our world.

Thanks for the answer, I was mostly asking for the fact that my group doesn't allow Humans as a playable race, so people tend to try a lot of other species to play (current party in STAP is a halfling, goblin, 2 elves, a 1/2 orc, and a catfolk - the elves keep throwing the goblin into rooms ahead of the rest of the party and then stop to wash the 'taint' off their hands before going in themselves, and the goblin keeps trying to catch and eat the wizard's bat familiar)

If humans aren't allowed as a playable race, you'll already be playing in a world dramatically different than the one we're envisioning for Pathfinder anyway, so at that point there's probably no problem with introducing a minotaur-like race into the world. Your DM will already probably need to be doing a lot of work to convert anyway...

Yeah, I think that's a cool approach. I can see the appeal of having a small nation of Minotaurs, but in some ways it would make them seem more mundane. If they're just monsters, then they keep more of that Theseus and the Labyrinth feel.
Paizo wouldn't steer us wrong. Well, maybe if they had too much calfeine. But they're not that gullibull. As always, I trust the Paizo brand.
