The Attic Whisperer - talk about a creepy creature. Something right out of Ravenloft or a horror movie like the one I saw recently aobut kids who died in a house and their energies lived on to warn others. It was called the Messengers.
Yeah, I thought this monster was particularly cool...even if Pett did come up with it! ;-)
That was my favorite new monster! A bit creepy, yes, but it resonated with me. I think it could be pretty fun to deal with the "looking for a playmate" aspect.
Indeed! Of the bestiary, the attic whisperer resonated the most with me. For some reason it really got under my skin. It think it connects back to early childhood fears I had of "something else" in the big closet in my bedroom. Regardless, reading the entry got me all creeped out and at the same time got me excited to spring one of these on my players somehow.
I heart Pathfinder.
If I had a decent audio program for my 'puter, I'd snag sound bites from movies with little kids, mix it with some background noise and effects and play it for the PCs! The fun thing would be to run it and then stop it quick (after all, 10' radius).

I'd like to see that if you have it in writing, or how it played out. I'm starting to ramp up serious research and pre-campaign work for this campaign which out of the 8 listed on Paizo, my players voted for almost unanimously.
