Yeah, sure, Terin won't mind having a gaping hole in his head......If and when I find a means to regrow Terin's eye I will consider it.

OOOH! OOOH! Terin could let Seann have Penkus' eye, and then Terin could have Seann's earth elemental gem! Seann would have an insane talking eyeball, and Terin would have a glass eye that can summon elementals! Friggin' COOL!

Or not. It's your call.

Spoiler:
But if you dug Penkus out of your head, then you could wear an eyepatch. That would be AWESOME! Terin would look like a PIRATE!

Yeah. He's a glutton for weird arcane stuff. Sort of the D&D version of the guy that has to have the entire inventory of BestBuy in his house.

Rofl. Talk about uncomfortable silence: “Hey, could you dig out your eye so I can have it eat out my eye socket?”

If you want to take a day and shop, craft, recover, whatever, go for it. You could bum the town, check out your boat, talk to NPC's about the Lotus, try to gather information about recent events. It's your timeline.

Hey guys, great stuff so far! Keep up the good work! I've enjoyed reading this thread a lot.

I see you already have an applicant to replace poor Harven, but if you guys DO decide to recruit, please give me a call.

(Your dastardly DM can always find me, I'm hanging out in one of his other games!)

Thanks, and keep up the good work! :D

Anyways, do we have a chance to get stuff ID and appraised? Then we can get on with splitting the dosh.

Good, we can shop!

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

Actually took the night off, but couldn't log in. Figures! Awake for two more hours but watching Drew so Marcy can sleep.

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

Guess we must be doing ok; many nice comments. I had no idea other people were keeping up with the game. That’s very cool.

Hey Beeler, good luck with the operation man - is it today or tomorrow?

Did we ever come up with a figure for how much each person gets for treasure?

Yes! Excellent song!

Thanks! It was earlier this morning, but they decided to hold off and just go with FNA for today (where they jam a needle in my neck), and then follow up with a backscatter. They're moving too quick and they want to do more tests before cutting them out. :(

Fake Healer wrote:

I was wondering that too, lol. The gems are going to appraise around 400 between the two bags.

We still need identification of the magic items as well.

Check it again. ;)

Treasure:
Cash Money:
1001 gp
(silver and copper used to identify items)

Valuables:
assorted gemstones – worth 375 to 450gp
small jade coffer (value?)
masterwork studded leather armour (87.5gp buy-back) (Terin?)
Small pin - comedy/tragedy mask (value?) (Eldin if no one else wants it)
masterwork cold iron dagger (302gp buy-back) (Terin?)
tiny silver figurine of a knight on horseback (given to Lavinia)

Magic:
wand of mage armour with 10 to 15 charges. (value?)
earth elemental gem (1125gp buy-back) (Seann)
Penkus’ left eye (value?) (Terin)
Shard Earring (+5 to Jump – single use item) (value?)
Cartographer’s Band (lesser) – constant Know Direction whilst worn. (value?)

Miscellaneous Stuff:
12 velvet bags
Illegible map on human-skin parchment (we should try to have this restored)
6 tallow candles
2 vials of grease paint (white/black)
two 25 foot coils of hemp rope
a half full wineskin
a rusty tableknife
3 soggy torches
Small, oiled leather pouch with silver clasp

Who wants what?

We still need a couple of things confirmed before splitting the treasure and being ready to move on. Also, did we get xp yet?

Terin doesn't want the Mwk Studded Leather, sell it if someone doesn't claim it. He will buy the Dagger for 302 though, taking the money out of his share of treasure (and paying more if necessary).

I'll take the rope and a share of the cash. Got a pretty armor crystal in mind and need money for it.

For the GM, I'm looking for a Least Crystal of Aquatic Action, so I don't drown wearing my armor. Its from the Magic Item Compendium, negates swim check penalties for wearing the armor its affixed to.

Anders: 1720
Eldin: 1895
Seann: 1895
Terin: 1935
Tyndal: 1870

I loathed the MIC, but it sounds like a cool item to have.

Unfortunately, an item like that is sorta a necessity for a tank in an aquatic dnd game. Need the heavy armor...don't want to drown :)

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

Seems somewhat unfair to force you to spend all your hard earned loot on something you'd drown without. Maybe we'll work something out.

Liberty's Edge

Well... Seann has the expensive gem, plus about 50gp worth of alcohol, so... what's left?

Is this XP totals or in addition to what we have already?

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

Totals. I thought you were closer too, but then I realized the cap for 3 was 3000, not 2000. I do have some miscellaneous rp stuff to give out yet, though.

Treasure shares:
Each party member gets 251gp, 11sp and 14cp as a share of the treasure (a share also goes into the party’s stash). This includes the revenue from selling the gems and the cleaned up masterwork studded leather armour.

On top of this, all bar Terin get a share for the masterwork cold iron dagger: 60gp and 4sp.

Also (if he can afford the 1125gp buy back price) all except Seann get a share of 225gp for the elemental gem.

In addition:

Seann: Earth Elemental Gem (1125gp buy back cost)
Terin: masterwork cold iron dagger (302gp buy back cost)
Eldin: comedy / tragedy mask pin; partially legible map
Tyndal: 25 foot length of hemp rope
Anders: ?

In the stash:
One cash share;
Wand of mage armour with 10 to 15 charges (value?)
Shard earring (+5 to Jump – single use item) (value?)
Cartographer’s Band (lesser) (constant Know Direction whilst worn) (value?)
Small jade coffer
12 velvet bags
6 tallow candles
2 vials of grease paint (black/white)
25 foot of hemp rope (should go to our boat)
Wineskin
3 torches
Small, oiled leather pouch with silver clasp

If anyone wants to buy back anything further from the stash, let us know. Eldin is considering the cartographer’s band, but I’m not sure of the value. Any of the standard stuff worth less than about 10gp can be taken at will and added to people’s equipment lists – just let me know so I can take it out of the stash.

I'm also interested in the jade coffer and the oiled leather pouch from the mundane items, and 'meh' on the rest.

Male Mothman Expert 5

Would you consider 100gp buy back cost reasonable for the wand of mage armour?

If so, that nets everyone but Anders an additional 20gp share of treasure.

Going back to basics, the cartographers band should cost 1000gp, therefore buy-back cost would be 500gp – Eldin’s taking the band, so everyone but Eldin gets an additional share of 100gp (feel free to correct me on the cost if someone has the book the item is sourced from).

Alright – let’s go shopping!

mwbeeler wrote:

That would be cool, but it is pretty cheap (250gp)

Hey Beeler, How ya doin'? Haven't seen much of you on the threads in a few days and I'm worried that some news is in on your condition or that you may be rundown from the symbiot.
You all right?

Yeah, I guess. I can't find a wand of Mage Armor in the DMG, so I can't do a rough price adjustment for the lowered charges, but I won't complain about 100gp.

I based it on 750gp cost as per the other 1st level wands listed in the DMG, then figured it has between 20 to 30% of charges remaining. 100gp seemed about right.

To make sure I wasn't too far off, I compared it to buying 10 scrolls of mage armour (Assuming the wand has only 10 charges left) - that would cost 250gp.

I apologize for my unannounced absence the last three days! Day one I spent trying to get a crow out of our furnace (short, but stupid story), day two the storm knocked us out, and then yesterday I was sidelined by a killer migraine. Back again finally and will catch up as soon as I get back up to speed at work. My fault and I apologize for not being able to get on and notify anyone.

A little of both. The surgeon wants to do a sit-down today on the results of my biopsy (asked for yesterday, but I felt like arse, so I said no), but yeah, I get extended periods of lethargy followed by spurts of frenzy. I'm good though, just waiting it out, mostly. Catching up on the threads I missed now, and work is busy because I had to call off yesterday on account of the weather / headache.

Might drop off the radar a bit, I am heading in for a full day of testing now, and my surgery is supposed to be tomorrow morning (they moved it way up). We’ll see how things go; I might be able to post again right away, depending on how I feel (though I might not make sense; then again, when do I ever…).
