Hello,

Im writing from Spain, then I apologize you about my pooooor english.

I wan to to buy some Tshirts form your store. I always take XXL size, but a friend told me about sizes in USA are larger than in Europe.

Could you tell me the size (in inch is good for me) of a XXL and XL TShirts you sell in your store.

I'd like to buy these shirts:

Andraax,

My usual answer to this question is that our t-shirts follow the standard American (Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, AAA) t-shirt sizes. But this won't work for you , will it? :)

So I grabbed a tape measure and a t shirt and this is what I found (measurements in inches and also converted to centimeters):

Measurements taken with the t-shirt laying flat:

Miskatonic University Seal T-Shirt XXL

  • Neck (top point to top point): 7 in (17.8 cm)
  • Chest (armpit to armpit): 26 in (66 cm)
  • Arm hole (top to bottom): 8 in (20.3 cm)
  • Overall length (top to bottom): 32 1/2 in (82.6 cm)

The Necromancy t-shirt XXL is made by a different company and is slightly smaller in all dimensions, by about 1/2 to a full inch (about 1-2 cm). We don't have an XL Miskatonic t-shirt on hand at the moment, so I measured an XL Necromancy t-shirt for a comparison (but keep in mind that it seems that the Necromancy shirts are slightly smaller, so you can assume an extra 1-2 cm on these measurements for the Miskatonic T-shirt).

Necromancy T-shirt XL (Measurements made in the same places)

  • Neck: 6 in (15.2 cm)
  • Chest: 24 in (61 cm)
  • Arm hole: 8 in (20.3 cm)
  • Overall length: 30 1/2 in (77.5 cm)

I hope these measurements help you figure out which size you need. Keep in mind that I just grabbed a couple of t-shirts from teh shelf and measured them. So these measurements are by no means guaranteed sizes and are meant as a guide only. :)

    Thanks,
    cos

I love you guys (and gals).

I did a little internet search and found this information page...
    http://shop.abc.net.au/help/helpclothessizes.shtm

its the only site I could find that compared aus/us/uk/eu against each other. As it stands most information about t-shirt sizes vary alot from manufacturer to manufacturer.

The only other advice I can give you is that on my last trip to the states (I live in the UK) I purchased a number of T-shirts of size L, while here in the UK I am restricted to the a minimum of size of XL with some T-shirts fitting better when XXL.

    hope that helps.

I would second what he said here, and mention that all our t-shirt manufacturers use numerous suppliers for their shirts, all at the same time. It's not unusual to pick up a pile of our shirts and see not only different makes among the sizes in the same patter, but sometimes there might be two or three different brands of shirt in the same size - and even then, the ones from the same maker might not be identical in size!

A good rule of thumb is always this: when in doubt, buy one size larger than you would normally. You can always throw a shirt in the dryer and shrink the crap out of it, but you'll never be able to make a shirt larger if it's too small. Ask me how I know :-)
