Aldaeth d'Lyrandar
“I can assure you sir that I am indeed a member of House Lyrander – but it is commendable for you not to take me at face value, it would be amazing – were it not so despicable – what some people will claim!” Aldaeth reaches into his belt pouch and draws out a palm sized, pentagonal document case. “Here are my identity papers, confirming my name and my identity as a scion of the House of Storm. And – as papers can be forged – though I assure you these are not! – here,” he, rather dramatically rolls up his sleeve, “is my Mark. I am sure you will see that it is a genuine Mark of Storm, and only a member of House Lyrander could bear such.”
He pauses to allow the guard to examine the scintillating Dragonmark adorning his arm.
“As for the question of the Captain sending us – well, I have this note – here it is – written in the good Captain’s handwriting, telling me to meet with your head of security. As for my companions..” Aldaeth conducts a quick introduction.
Phew! Diplomacy: 14+6 = 20. Any circumstance bonus for the papers and the Dragonmark? Also, anyone else in the group might like to make an Aid Another check to help me out!

The gnome's doubts crumble before the evidence you present to him and he says "Of course sir. I'll have to ask you to hand over all of your weapons before you enter." in a much more respectful tone. "I'm afraid that that goes for your bodyguards and servants as well." He says, taking your weapons and making a cursory search that you don't possess any more (which doesn't find anything if any of you were concealing a weapon). The door opens in accordance to some unknown signal and he says "This way sir. Miranth inside will be able to help you." with a respectful bow.
You're led into a large atrium walled in white marble with a vaulted ceiling covered in a mural depicting the history of House Sivis. A gnome sits behind a desk and as you approach, he looks up. He has a bright, eager to please manner and says "Hello. Welcome to the Enclave of the House Sivis. What can I do for you at this late hour?"
The papers were necassary to make your story beleivable but you did get a +2 bonus from your mark.
Irulan
"Hello," Irulan said, "We were wondering if you could tell us anything about Cor d'Sivis." She then stepped back, already surprized at herself for bieng so forward. Well, she thought, I need to get better at talking to people, and I might as well start somewhere.
Where is everybody? Irulan generaly wouldn't talk before everybody else, but we need to get this rolling again

I know Hammith just started school and I think Yeux might have as well so I'm guessing that's why things have slowed down so much.
The gnome looks up at you and says "Oh, well I'm afraid I can't help you much on that front; I've only been here a few weeks. The captain of the Enclave's security, Jebeddo ir'Beren, might be able to help you. Should I see if he's still awake?"
Aldaeth d'Lyrandar
“This Cor situation is becoming serious,” says Aldaeth, giving Irulan an appreciative nod, whilst trying to shake his arm free of the half-orc's grasp. “I think it may be worth the head of Sivas security losing some sleep over, hmmm? The good men and women of the Sharn city watch certainly are….”
Turning to his rather strange half-orcish companion he says, "It's a Dragonmark. The Mark of Storm in fact. Come my good fellow, you must have seen a Dragonmark before?"

The gnome’s smile fades a little and he says “Of course sir. He’ll be right out.” He pulls out a small, golden bird-shaped thing, murmurs a few words to it and it flies off through some small passage in the vaulted ceiling above. After a short while a tied-looking aristocratic gnome with piercing grey eyes and graying hair in a rumpled House Sivis uniform hurries into the atrium through a door behind the gnome’s desk. “I’m Jebeddo ir’Beren.” He states “What can I do for you? I was told that Captain Terrim sent you. I suppose this is about Cor’ d’Sivis’ disappearance?”. “Well, I’ll tell you what I know. I just hope you can bring him in before he does something to further embarrass the House. He stole a message packet from one of our messengers at the Tain gala, where the messenger was supposed to deliver the message to one of the guests there. No has any idea why Cor would steal it, not even his sister who knew him quite well. It’s shocking really, Cor was always a free spirit but he was loyal to the House. I’m afraid that’s all about him that I can tell you, I never knew him that well. I wish you luck if you’re going to try to find him. He was a very good swordsman and even better at disguise and trickery. Even if you do find him he’ll be hard to capture if he doesn’t want to come. Anything else you want to know or can I go back to my work?”
I'm going to have little or no internet access until Friday afternoon. Sorry.

Hammith just started school and hasn't been around for the last few days. I think he said that his posting would pick up again after a week or so. I've seen Yeux post on other threads but not on this one, so mabye she forgot about us. I'll try to track her down and ask her if she's still interested.

I'm sorry to hear that, although I understand. Things have been progressing at a frustatingly slow pace. Who is interested in continuing the campaign?
I’ve been getting frustrated with this as well. I’ve wanted to keep going out of respect to Arctaris and those other players still going (thanks French Wolf and Irulan), but to be honest I’m close to giving up too.
Arctaris, I enjoy your games, and it will be a pity if this one has died, but it’s frustrating when people go missing with no explanation, and I don’t know if I have the patience to go through recruiting a bunch of new players in this game too.
Let me know what you decide to do. I’ll be around if we pick up again, but I won’t post until (and if) you let me know the game is going again. If Irulan wants to continue with Aldaeth, we could try that, but I don’t think a ranger and a rogue are the ideal two person party!

I'll give Hammith a little while longer, since he said he wouldn't be around for a while.
I'm assuming that Yeux is out.
I have a friend who's interested in joining in so that might work.
I'm happy to run this adventure for just three to four players and I'm willing to adjust this adventure according to the party composition.
So, if everyone's willing to continue with just the two of you (and Hammith, if he returns soon) plus a friends. Sorry for the way this has slowed down, hopefully with fewer players it will speed up again.
