Campain Info
Every culture has it's own myths and ledgends, but one story is common to them all, The Deluge.
In ages past the world was green and fertile, but the pride of the mortal races angered the gods, and the seas overflowed and the world was filled with water. The mortal races retreated to the mountains, taking with them peices of their culture and their most prized posessions. When the waters subsided, they left behind the Mist. Many entered the Mist in hopes of regaining the long lost lands of their homes, but none ever returned.
With the discovery of floatstone by the dwarves, the world changed once again. The elves gathered tons of the boyant mineral and planted the seeds they had brought from the world below. The human barons built massive floating citadels to patrol the skies. The gnomes invented zepplins and conqured the trade market. The orcs became known as feirce warriors and are prized as mecenaries. The dwarves continued to mine the mountains, searching for minerals and gems. Haflings however, gained a reputation as theives and scoundrels, and are delegated to the bottom rungs of society. Many other races join these major ones in keeping the flame of civilization burning in the cold, thin air of the Lands Above the Mist.

Humans are the "default" race in the campain. The Four Barons are all human as is most of the general population.
Southshire: The largest of the Four Baronies and home to the Corbrian Plateu, the largest plot of areable land in the Baronies and the scource of three-quarters of the food production.
Northreave: The smallest and most militant of the Baronies. Home of the Steel Hand Acadamy, the formost military school in the world.
Eastfold: This Barony is devoted to magic. It boats a large number of arcane spellcasters.
Westfell: Home to the Gnome Mecantile Sydicate. Owns the largest fleet of war-zepplins.
Gnomes hold the secret of the boyant gas which makes zepplins posible. They control the trade routes and are the only suppliers of zepplins. They are also at the forefront of scientific engenering. Gnomes hold no lands of their own.
Orcs are the most feared and respected warriors in the Baronies. They have progressed a long way from the barbaric savages the race started as. Orcs hold no lands of their own. An orcs favored class is fighter instead of barbarian.
Halflings are the downtroden homeless of major cities. They are looked upon as thieves and vagrants by most other races. They hold no lands of their own.
Dwarves are cloistered in the mining city of Caldera, located in a dormant volcano south of Eastfold.
Elves live in the floating forest of Alvinale, the only scouce of hardwoods in the Baronies. It is located in Northreave, but changes position regularly. Elves traditionaly disdain the use of metal implements, however adventuring elves have been known to use metal weapons and tools.
Recently, a group of adventures discovered an ancient ruin containing a large number of what apeared to be inactive golems. Upon activation the golems were intelegent and childlike. These were the first Warforged. Numerous other ruins have been found since that day and the number of Warforged in the population has grown. These living constructs have no memory from before the day they were activated, nor do they know what their pourpose is. Warforged do not hold their own lands. In some placed they are still considered property.
Other races exist along side these main races. They remain as presented in their scource books.

I will get a map ready this weekend. We will probably start on Sunday.
32 point buy.
Starting level is 6.
Traits, Flaws, and Bloodlines from Unearthed Arcana are available.
Firearms are common. Use Table 2-4: Flintlock Firearms on page 21 of d20 Past. If you do not have this book, I will email you the pertinant information. Firearms are Simple Weapons.
So far the group consists of:
Arctaris
Mr. Shiny
Dragonmann
Dirk
Tylinhae
Waiting to hear from Mothman for the last spot.

Could I reserve a spot? I'm in a epic level campaign which seems to be going nowhere, and a sixth level campaign sounds real good!. I have a liking for elves, so if I get the spot I would play an elven something.
Haven't heard from Mothman, so you in. Check the Gamer Conection forum for the list of books I have.

![]() |

The Players are:
Artaris - warlock (firearm info coming soon, I promise)
Mr Shiny - Jedediah human fighter/vigilante
Dragonmann - Dahak warforged barbarian (needs to level up)
Dirk - Ashur elf druid/monk
Tylinhae - unknown
Aramil - unknown
We need a healer and an arcane caster. But I can tailor the game to fit whatever you guys want to play.
The game will start (probably on Saturday) in a tavern in Southshire.
I'm going to work, won't get off until 2am U.S. Central time. I'll post again then.

Oh, sorry for the confusion man, I wasn't putting my hat in the ring for a spot in the game. I was interested in the concept (hence reading along on the thread), and couldn't help but give my two cents when a question came up, but I'm pretty much all play-by-posted out at the moment, what with playing in three games and DMing another.
Thanks for considering me though, and good luck with your game! I might be lurking and reading from time to time.

Okay, I'm statting up an arcane caster, but I'm not really well versed in Eberron (more of a Realms guy myself). Anybody mind giving me a basic rundown of what I need to do to NOT let the Warforged become a bigger pile o' junk than my car?
Repair damage spells are the arcan equivalent of cure spells. They work on warforged.
Don't take transmutation as a prohibited school if your a specialist... other than that you're golden

Thanks for the input. Feel free to comment on the game as it goes along.

Don't play something you don't want. If you don't think you'll have fun playing a caster, then play something else. However, if you want to play a caster, I'll be able to give lots of help (I play almost exclusivly arcane casters). If we end up with a gap in party abilities, it's no big deal. I can adjust the encounters. I'll be making most of this stuff up as we go along anyway.

Dahak Ironheart |

Dragonmann, what feats did you get for your flaws?
I used the flaws to pick up power attack and cleave, with the assumption that you are intending to let me get away with the Seren Only dragon feats... Since I don't think there is an argonessen in your world, and hopefully my backstory justifies it

Also, if you are not keen on the arcane casting classes, we can work around it.
Wither I need to take care of my own healing, or someone with a few ranks in use magic device. Craft skills can be used to repair warforged too, but i don't remember at what rate.

Thanks for the support, but I'm okay with the idea. I'm a very big believer of doing what will be best for the overall good of the party; my own personal preference isn't really that vital anyway. My only hesitation was my lack of experience, I didn't want anyone to be left high and dry because I had a misstep on my character play.
The experience should be a good one anyway. Gotta learn how to use casting classes at some point! So as long as a fireball-wielding rookie doesn't make anyone start to break into cold sweats, I'm okay with the class.

Aramil Xiloscient |

Sorry about the wait guys, I will play a Monk4/Ninja2. The characters name is still unknown but the character is almost done. I will email it when i'm done, what is your Email address?
I found your email address on the thread, you will be recieving an email soon with my sheet! Thank you for counting me in!

Updated Players List:

Dragonmann - Dahak Ironheart, warforged barbarian
Dirk - Ashur Yenaiwalae, elf druid/monk

Still waiting for Arctaris, Dirk, and Aramil to send characters.
We can start as soon as I get them.

The game will start (probably on Saturday) in a tavern in Southshire.
This will sound silly, but can it be raining?
I can justify my character coming in out of the rain, but otherwise, someone who doesn't eat or drink doesn't have much need to be in a tavern...

..and plus, it'll give it sort of a film-noir feel.

Tylinhae |

On the other hand I could paradoy...
A warforged walks into a bar, says "have any of you seen a big dragon?"
When no one says yes, I leave...
write new character
A cleric, a druid and a rogue walk into the bar....
The bartender says "What is this, some sort of really bad joke?"

I'm an elf right now. You could be my buddy!

Mine wouldn't care much about food or the rain...
I'll probably be sleeping on some rocks outside the tavarn. Nice sharp rocks as pillows.

Nice! This is what I call RP with flair. Excellent work on the site, Vis.

Thanks for the complement. It took me a whole ten minutes to make it. Tried posting the map on my MySpace, but it got lost in all the other stuff on there. I'll be posting battle maps for the encounters on the site also, so everyone can keep up with where they are and who's around them (and so I won't have to make arbitrary decisions about "who's in range of my fireball").

Myspece tends to be a bit flashy for me, so I really like this site. I actually saved the map on my computer before.
