Is anybody as excited about Halo 3 as I am. I am hoplessly addicted to Halo merchandice, I will buy anything if it has the Halo logo (or Master Chiefs face, I mean helmet) on it. I've already preordered the "Legendary Edition" of Halo 3 for $130. I bought a $60 game (Crackdown, and its actually pretty good on its own) and moved into a new appartment that offered cable internet, just so I could play the Halo 3 Beta for a month (in total, I've spent almost $1000 bucks for an unfinished, multiplayer only, limited to one month, demo). I've nearly gotten divorced over this game (fortunatly, my wife is very forgiving (that is after I got her into Halo also)). If any body else is as excited as I am (and I'm quivering like a 13-year old school girl about to meet Justin Timberlake), let me know. If any body alse is getting in on the Halo 3 Beta, hit me up with a gamertag and you can try to shoot me in the face. If any body wants to rant about what a stupid fanboy I am, and how I should grow up and get a "real" hobby (like playing D&D), I totaly agree with you.

I own it. I'm going to go down in flames for saying this, but here goes:
Even though Oblivion is all next-gen-y and pretty, I actually prefer Morrowind for some reason. Probably either the Talking Mudcrab (wanna buy some booze?), Creeper (Grrr! I'm Creeping!), or Maiq the Liar (Y'know, there's a secret multiplayer option...).

I like both morriwind and olibion sorry if i spelled it wrong I am more of a RE/ Final Fantasy Fan, but i do like Halo
Dude, if you click the 'edit' option, you can go back and edit your post so that things are spelled correctly instead of just going back and telling people that it's misspelled.

Morrowind is a much better overall game , except for the Visuals and the Fightung System. Especially Game of the Year Edition. But Maiq is actually cooler in Oblivion.

They brought back Maiq?

As far as RPG video games go, I've been a fan of the Shin Megami Tensei series--including the Persona series--for quite a while. Dark, surreal, modern-day, occult...many adjectives jump to mind. Beautiful character designs by Kazuma Kaneko complement the simple, yet deep, gameplay. Well worth checking into if you ever get tired of the Dragon Warrior/early Final Fantasy fare.

Morrowind just has way more character. Oblivion's world is about as cut-and-dry as they could've made it, filled with grass, trees and the same-looking ruins everywhere, with super basic towns and cities and an as-uninspired "hell", whereas Morrowind starts in a swamp town and only gets grittier and more and more original.
They both have tons of depth below the surface. It's just that Morrowind's surface is outstanding and Oblivion's, no matter how great they look it look, is sort of bland.

Character. That's the word I was looking for. Thanks.

Considering the hours most MMO players put into them, it actually turns out to be a pretty inexpensive hobby compared to, say, a couple of nights at the movies a month.

Yeah. I have to agree with you. Morrowind was a kick in the teeth. I remember the first time I said, "Whoa, you mean I can just go do whatever I want." I also have a lot of issues with Oblivion (the part about how I have to get off my horse to kill somthing or cast a spell). Oblivion is much easier to play, but I miss all of the awesome tweaking I could do based on race and class. You can do the same thing in Oblivion, it's just a lot less effective. No Levitate (I understand they got rid of it for technical reasons, but I still miss it), or Mark and Recall.
I just got Knights of the Nine, but took some time off to obsess over Halo 3 Beta. I'm sure Shivering Iles(sp?) will be awesome, but I have a lot of expensive hobbies.

Yeah. They brought back Maiq. He's running around and you just have to run into him. He doesn't give away any secret info this time though.

Yes he does. He tells you where a Deadric shrine is hidden underwater. It's Boethia's(sp) I think (probably wrong, havn't played it in a while). That kicks off the quest to rebuild it.
True, but that's only triggered if you have already started looking for the Lost Shrine of Boethiah. When I first got to him (I was looking for Tel Fyr and got hopelessly lost), he was just spouting gibberish about mutiplayer and vine-swinging shenanigans.
